Most Umineko fans are straight out of /a/ and are used to fansubs that are released within a day of an episode airing. Don't expect them to be familiar with the VN fan translation process.

To what an earlier anon said, it's rather silly to tell the new!translator anons to tell Witch Hunt to cool it with the honourifics. After all, they're new blood. If they're too pushy with something they're set in their ways about, I doubt that Witch Hunt would have any seconds thoughts about telling to get the fuck out.

Actually, I really dislike Higurashi. I certainly didn't start reading Umineko because it came from the same author, I started reading it because I thought it had a fascinating premise. I originally came for the shit that went down in Legend, but I got hooked into that silly magical stuff, and now I'm far too invested in this series.

I'm sure that this applies to plenty of people. And actually, I've found that a lot of Higurashi fans hate Umineko, and vise versa.
