I got more emotional than I should have at this point. I broke into tears, which doesn't happen to me much.

If there's nothing else to discuss, general Symphonic Rain thread.

>> No.4712640

I was mad and my chest burned Chris is always so powerless in this game. I did tear up too Myself.
He best man the fuck up for Torta or I will be very mad.

The final scene of the Da Capo route brought me to tears.

It rained yesterday and I thought to myself.

What if it rained every day.

you guys need to MAN UP, I will not have men cry over visual novels.

>> No.4712704

>implying this will actually help performance in any way to warrant the price.

>> No.4712711

I cry at visual novels/anime all the time. I haven't cried about anything in real life for about a decade though. By letting it all out in the confines of my room I can keep up my manly persona outside of the house.

Nope sorry, try again

What's so sad about it? I was considering playing it but I can't handle depressing stuff.

Even the Digitimes can be wrong.

Not much but the routes are pretty short so it warrants at least a try.

I was expecting to be sad at the Lise ending after reading a bit about people crying at the end, but WTF? It was a happy ending.

And Mitsuki isn't?

>> No.4713667

Fuck yeah! Arietta in all 3 of her incarnations is god tier.

>> No.4713689

I agree with you OP, I cried like a bitch during most of the routes. I still don't get why it didn't get the Nakige tag on vndb.

It's tagged with utsuge, which I think fits it better.

It's not really a depressive game.
It's pretty uplifting actually.

>> No.4713880

VN stories can only make me feel irritated. (For example, Fal revealing herself to be a troll)

How do you guys manage to weep tears of happiness, or bitchtears?

I just don't understand.

Only the last ending. The rest are bittersweet.

I didn't find the game that emotionally engaging one way or the other though.

For some reason, I only cry over fictional things, like VNs or anime. I never cry in real life, even when my father died a few years back.

Utsuge is for depressing games. Swan Song is a perfect example. There's no happy end, no hope, only sadness in the end. Symphonic Rain, wether you find it happy or not, will affect you emotionally. That's what a nakige is supposed to do, makes itself memorable.

Also, Al fine and Phorni are 100% happy ends, and both moved me to tears.

So I am doomed to only be capable of anger.

That actually makes me kind of sad

How could you?

>> No.4714111

>>4714054
Well, easy. You fell in love with Torta, so it's almost a relief when Ari dies and isn't here to suffer because of that. You live happily with Torta, and she loves you. Happy end.

OKAY 99% happy. Because... Phorni... ;_;

>> No.4714480

What were Torta's last words in the true end of Al Fine?

>> No.4714547

I never actually cried during the whole experience, but I was on the verge of tears during the uplifting moments in the very last route. I never thought I could be on the verge of tears from just pure joy.
I never got attached to Torta and Fal. Lise, only a little bit. Phorni and Ari were god tier though.

Jesus christ, Symphonic Rain was and always is a prime example of Utsuge. Lol at people arguing it's a Nakige.

not sure how the installer work since I haven't try it, but for the previous patch, you have to make sure you use the registry

I went from the first Beta patch to the second Beta patch. I had the same problem with no words appearing. What I did was use the register it again and reinstall the font that came with it. It worked like a charm.
