Why is her character so shitty?

WHAT?
Vanille has, like, the worst voice actor in... the entire goddamn cast.
I want to stab her voice. She ruins what would be otherwise an incredibly nice dub.

I hate everything about her character and use Hope, yes that stupid fucking annoying and most whiny character in a video game ever HOPE as my healer because I find him at least more tolerable than she is.

I dunno what >>4708721 was playing but cutscenes lasting longer than 3 minutes are rare. The only one I can recall offhand is the from-Ark-to-Gran Pulse segment.

However, playing segments are also short, about 10 minutes until another 3 minute cutscene then forced back into playing.

It's all terribly streamlined. A bit exhausting, really.

Honestly? No. I love RPG's as much as the next guy (they're pretty much all I play) but Final Fantasy XIII was/is a complete let down. The Japanese reviews saying it's shit pretty much sum up the whole thing. If you had a console I'd say rent it and see if you enjoy it (the first 20 or so hours are pretty shitty though, unless you like generic storyline being forced down your throat with literally nothing else to do apart from run in a straight line and mash A/X..) but if you don't have a console then I'd say save your money and upgrade your PC or something.

What kind of accent did Fang and Vanille have in the Japanese version of the game?
I'm sure they had some kind of different dialect and that the accent was added to simulate that, and that they didn't just make them both Australian/Kiwi/Saath Aafricaan for the hell of it.

Because I was job hunting recently and I got a call from McDonalds saying they had a job opening and I didn't know if I should go for it or not, some extra spending money would be nice but I had a friend in high school that worked at a Burger King and she said it was godawful (she actually pulled me aside when I was trying to get a job there years ago and whispered in my ear to forget about it).
