Pretty sure, in this case, it's merely positive reinforcement. Tons of people jumped into watching the video due to it having channel as the animator, that prompts the algo to flag the video as popular and then it just snowballs from there.
There are other songs that have gotten extremely high view counts from the algorithm boosting them for some reason due to flags that aren't as obvious, but in this case it's just a loop that feeds itself, with twitter just sending hordes of people over to youtube and then it just propagating from there

Yeah, it really sucked when I found out about the weather. I'm just bringing a rain poncho so I can just toss it out whenever we get let inside since I do not want to have to deal with umbrellas at that place. It was fun. Had some disappointing stuff, but it was all things I knew about in advance so I was prepared. Glad I was smart enough to immediately go for the upper levels.
Think I ended up handing out over 50 glowsticks, had to split up my bundles just because there were so many people who had nothing. I was glad though, had a lot of fun chats and heartfelt thank yous as a result. Figured more glowsticks in the crowd > everyone having the right colors 100% of the time.

I brought in a clone of the official stick last night (same base model just without the dimmer) and there was no problem. The brightness was pretty much the same anyways (only two of the colours on mine seemed brighter than official while most were the same or dimmer), although the colours of mine were always a bit off from the official. Yes, almost all venues I've been to run you through a metal detector first. It is only the real small ones that don't do that. As far as bag check goes, it is a crapshoot what you're allowed to bring in to shows. Generally the list for no-go items are food/drink and things that can be construed as a weapon. A couple of venues I've been at for shows don't allow stuff with spikes for example.

They probably needed something slow to add variation to the setlist. Can't be 100% hyper all the time or it gets tiring. It's a good song. It had a cool animation, too. Definitely one of the highlights of the concert for me.
I listened to the setlist over and over to prepare for the concert, and it's grown on me. I don't think the non-Japanese produced songs were bad. Note that the live version of Highlight is so much better than Kira's more minimalistic electronic version. I wonder if they'll release the live version somewhere?
