Goodbye /jp/,

I am no longer an otaku. I have seen every anime worth watching and I have read any translated visual novel I could get my hands on. I was never a fan of the Touhou or Idolm@ster games, but I had my faps with the doujins. Everything is a rehash these days. I dropped all the anime that I saw last season. The social stigma that goes along with being an otaku has never been worth it. From this day forward it's only classical music, opera, and plays for me. I plan on living a more dignified lifestyle with a more dignified community.

You were not an otaku but just a guy interested in anime and eroges. I don't see how having hobbies different from most people makes your life not "dignified". Also, if you new hobbies are classical music, opera and plays, good for you but people will still find your hobbies weird. Because the hobby of 'normal' people is to fuck a stranger in a night club while drugged and drunk once a week, and watch TV the rest of the time. So no thanks, I'll stay with my own hobbies and don't give a shit about what others people think of me (especially since few people know I'm into japanese stuff).
