SATEN'S JAPANESE TIP OF THE DAY

if you're not retarded, you already know that 二 means "two," and is most commonly pronounced as "ni"

度 is a basic counter-type kanji, much like 回. think of it as meaning "times" when preceded by a number. the kun pronunciation is "do."

so, 二度 (nido) means "two times," or "twice"

a common phrase is 二度と followed by a negative verb. essentially, the speaker is saying "don't (verb) again," or "I won't (verb) again."

in our case, the negative verb is くるな, in command form (don't come!). this is pretty rude.

the whole phrase is 二度とくるな. the speaker is essentially saying, "get lost," or "don't bug me again."
