Mm, time well spent, I think.

Due to a glitch, I'm fairly sure about a million points of my score are scenes I accidently got to count twice for points. If you go into the make a replay option for the last scene of a level, you can then select the next scene option going into the scene of the next level, but counting that scene for the level you continued from. I was kind of annoyed I had to do like four scenes twice due to not noticing it.

i haven't played it yet. Fucking nerds.

Only put in a few hours so far. Doubt I can keep up the 10+ scenes an hour any further than this, though. A couple scenes in stage 5 were wrecking me for a while.

Gamepad or keyboard?
I'm normally a keyboarder, but gamepad seems to work better for me in this game, StB, and the Phantasmagorias.

I tried to use a gamepad but I kept moving too far and running into bullets, so I just stick to keyboard. I play 12.3 with a PS3 controller though, even though it does nothing to improve my shitty skills.

Same here. I have a great gamepad and I don't think it's limiting me, but I always wonder. I can't move fluidly on the keyboard though. Say if I need to swing down and to the left in a quarter-circle motion, it's just impossible for me to do fluidly on keyboard.

Immediately go into charge mode right as the scene begins, move leftup while charging. When fully charged, dash up and take a photo. Immediately dash back down right to the bottom and start charging again moving right. You should've ended up through a hole in the bullet line you made with your camera. Repeat this process, changing the directions each time and you should have pratically no trouble beating it.

A new record of suckage is set. For about 3 hours I didn't know you could use shift+z to recharge faster and stubbornly tried to just dodge that stuff. Well, at least I got slightly better at dodging.

Seriously, you guys should just go back to the regular Touhou games, 1cc normal all of them and PCB, IN or MoF in hard, and then come back to Shoot the Bullet/ Double spoiler. You'll notice some incredible changes. That's what happened to me, at least. When StB came out, I couldn't make it past stage 5 (I was a complete beginner back then), but then after playing the regular games for a while, I tried StB again and found myslef clearing EX stages.

Never played Shoot the Bullet.

But this game is fun.

Half of the time was spent trying to beat Momiji (4-2), I have more than 500 retries on that.

Patch is still needed. Installed DS on work today, started anew saving replays of every stage going to the next scene rigt away. Went wtf when noticed that it started naming replays 1-7, 1-8, 1-9.. Went to the stage select screen and voile - Level one completed, Level 2 - it says I didn't even play single stage from it.

Bullets don't spawn on the right. They are all bullets who spawn from the left, fly to the right and then turn around.

The spellcard is much easier if you position yourself directly to Iku's right, so you only have to dodge bullets from the left and shoot them down with your photos before they can turn.
