If I understood it correctly, feel free to correct me:
Sumireko is a stand in for the people lapping AI up without a second thought and uses AI for selfish and self serving purposes with destructive consequences, Ran in that chapter is an allegory for AI used as a tool for useful and helpful applications like debugging and cybersecurity. Sumi's research and meddling with AI and the Occult lead to the Kiketsu family's computers acting all funny, which led to Ran's involvement. Ran worked it out and found that the culprit was indeed an idiot and nothing to be alarmed about, her interactions from that point on were just digging for information until Kourin butted in and Ran dropped the connection. Rinnosuke's point of view was that of an outsider on the argument with his own preconceived notions and usual misunderstandings, but it boiled down to hoping that AI—whatever it was—wasn't going to end up controlling and influencing peoples lives in Gensoyko; which makes it ironic considering how much the internet has become apart of our lives and how we're influenced by the all knowing algorithms selecting what is shown to us based on our collected data.
Either way that chapter tries to hard to hit the point and is very preachy, but it goes to show how integrated with the outside Sumireko is and how that contrasts to Gensokyo's more traditionally minded and optimistic thinking. With AI, it's to show that it is a very powerful tool that should be used responsibly, but as we see with Sumireko, it isn't. She has no understanding of what her AI is or does but has herself convinced she knows what she's doing, an obvious stereotype for the typical end user.

That said I'm sick of Sumireko and I want to immerse myself in this mystical fantasy land and cute girls, not be reminded on how shit everything is in our world.

Agreed. zun seems to like outside world allegory a little too much. If anything genso girls should be entering the outside world and making it not bland and gay and shit via fantasy and magic. And yes they can do it, the yokai needing gensokyo stuff is kind of ruined by bullshit like the animal realm or there being tanuki settlements like the one mamizou came from. Even accounting for ''tanuki popularity'' it's still dumb. By that logic yokai should be popular too since they still very much are in irl japan and people seem to use irl japan as a stand in for the outside world, which has its own issues. I want to see cute girls do cute things (and not cute things) as outside humans helplessly watch or join in for fun.
