Female otakus are huge femcels and not the most good-looking women in Japan. They take out their frustrations by making femdom art of their perfect self-inserts beating men who reject them in irl. Or in some cases, dominating them. It's also the reason why "Nice" guys are often the most mistreated in their works since those were the only men who gave them attention but never in a romantic light.

i agree, infact i would say my situation probably isnt that far off from it
i mostly just dont have trust in most people and have a hard time getting close to others because i usually get betrayed over dumb things, like in the same way someone with mommy issues would have a hard time trusting women
so naturally i would be looking for a relationship with someone who im certain i could trust, which the most obvious answer would be someone whos imposingly caring or doting and stronger than me

i get what you mean, but i can say with certainty that its different for me, its always felt more like the appeal of religion is the desire to connect the world to humanity, that there is a creator to empathize with
christianity is the only religion that i know of where its said that god became man, or that he is man, its as though god lives for man and man lives for god
also i said traditional values, but i generally dont like the kinds that submit to authority, i believe in self preservation and independence, that the family and your friends are the most important structure in the world

That sounds much nicer than what I had in mind. I think polytheistic religions achieve similar effects by anthropomorphizing aspects of the natural world, or just everyday objects (like Tsukumogami).

I think these two and the desire to submit can come from the same source, but whether it's some kind of a sexual thing, spiritual thing, desire to serve something greater or just the desire to serve others or some mix of these can sometimes be hard to untangle.
