To the anon arguing last thread about how Nasu and TM worldbuilding and lore is top notch, how is it exactly? All he does is drop bits and parts of easy fluff that never goes anywhere meaningful. It always ends up contradicting itself in the future for FGO since it was never that important.

Nah, everything points to this not being the case. It's not even speculation since Nasu has outright stated Arc will get another route along with an elaboration on the stuff Shiki did when he killed the hallway in Arc's route. Plus Roa's ritual. You need another route for all of that, which Nasu already considered even before he wrote the Remake script in Tsuushin-R.

Highly disagree. There's a whole ending that essentially sets up a sequel and, by Nasu's own admission, there's a lot more to it he apparently can't tell at the moment. It's also a perfect setup for a sequel since Shiki, a complete Church newbie, works under one of the Cardinal. So, not only would this finally give us a story that focus on the inner of the Church, but there are definitely things to be done with Shiki's character since it's essentially a bad ending in all but name. Will Shiki find the rainbow in the night? How will Shiki cope with Ciel's death in the long term? Will his quest to resurrect her further doom him? I don't know, it sounds like an interesting premise, even for a short spin off. I don't think it will ever be made though, but there are certainly potential for cool sequels.

I don't hate the VN; it's just my least favourite Type-moon vn (not counting plus-disc). I compare tsuki re to other chunige like FSN and Dies irae because the reason why i like the og tsukihime was because it made me cry 5 times, and I was not expecting a retread to hit those same highs. Most of what I dislike about the remake is that I was not attached your really felt anything towards the characters, none of the themes of the vn resonated with me mostly due to it feeling elongated and unsesarly long. There were some genuinely great moments like the scene where Mario fires Noel, the scene where Ciel talks to Shiki after he killed Arc and True Ciel is great. it's just most of the characters feel ok, not bad enough to hate but not good enough to resonate with them especially compared to characters like Kirei, Shirou/Archer Sakura, Kohaku, and Sojuro.

It's mostly because the vns drags a lot and a lot of the jokes/antics i enjoyed in the original gets tiring stretched over a 60-hour VN. With Ciel, I found her amount of tragedy to really ridiculous and felt unsesary. In the og tsukihme the thing that made me like Ciel was that she was a suicidal loser who did not care about the church and just wanted to kill herself to atone. in the remake, she is a badass who constantly goes out of her way to save people and I get the direction Nasu wanted to take her character but it's not interesting and I found myself kinda zoning out whenever Ciel was doing church shit. I do like Near Side despite my problems with it. It has charm for being so simplistic and I liked the whole "Moonlit World" aspect of the world that Nasu aped from World of Darkness. I also liked how subdued it was compared to Far Side and FSN when it came to fights. Ciel definitely had the best chemistry with Shiki out of all the other girls. Shiki and Ciel are literally like a married couple from the very start of the VN.

In the VN, Ciel is consistently the only character that is shown to be competent, assured, and benign. She is consistently the only character Shiki can trust. She is, consistently, the only character that knows what she's doing, and is willing to help Shiki. When Shiki is babbling around like the retard he so often is in the VN, Ciel is always here to reassure him, help him get back on his feet, and is just a great human bean in general.

Ciel was a secretive mask-upon-mask character and becomes unpredictable because of how often she switches between them even though Ciel acts completely independent from Shiki and the rest of Tsukihime's plot. The umbrella scene where Ciel finds Shiki in the rain and he has nowhere to go, so she takes him to her apartment and help him get back to his regular self. That scene is also triggered by having Shiki face reality instead of denying that it happened and having him believe that it was just a dream.

Ciel was cool as hell, with Ciel running up the wall and attacking from the fucking CEILING and Shiki can’t help but be honest and think of it as “charmingly beautiful”.

There's a bad end in the remake where Ciel goes to investigate the mansion and Akiha blows her the fuck out and makes her retreat, probably a nod to the manga. (And as a result of this Ciel can't protect Shiki from Noel, and she kills him)
If Akiha's new powers get ever fully revealed she's gonna a monster.
