About old ones, thing is that in order to scan artbooks you have to rip out the pages. Otherwise you can't scan them with a good result at least. Same with light novels and some old manga that no digital copies exist. Years ago it was easy to do it since many bought 2 artbooks one for collection the other for scanning and sharing but since now prices have increased no one is willing to do it/ can't afford it. And dlsite/bookwalker etc. digital copies don't let you download artbooks manga as pdf ebook etc. format. You got to do it manually.
There is this tool for dlsite though but never tried it myself.

I'm just iffy on the idea because エロゲスレ attempted to maintain a megalink and then there was a huge influx in trolls and such in their general, it got linked to places like r*d**t and it's still a current problem. You know, Saiki's backstory is based on some famous real crime anecdote. I'm half-remembering this but it was some American billionaire I think, his grandson got kidnapped and the ransomers asked for some exorbitant sum, so... he told them to fuck off. The hostage was released eventually but I imagine the family dinners were pretty tense.
Anyway, that bad end with his mother was pure lunacy. I think he was optimistically trying to make her give up on her jerk husband by "cheating" on her while she mistook him for his father? With Teppei of all people though. Maybe he already tormented her like that with other partners. Making her die wasn't his ideal scenario, I think.

Teppei, the silly brocon, couldn't help seeing his little brother in Saiki. I guess they're the same age but you know. It's pretty funny that he even seemed to accept the brocon/shotacon accusation eventually (though that mainly Saiki's abuse messing with his head I think.) That said he still forced himself to wait until Saiki grew up. (It's left ambiguous whether Saiki himself waited though, apparently he polished his technique during that time.) The writers just love hyper-precocious brats. See also Takara in Paradise.

Teppei going yangire in this route was honestly one of my favorite parts of Cage. I'm not even sure why, it's pure edgy shlock, but I guess since he's still sort of a bumbling fool shifting from scrappy underdog to slasher nightmare? In particular that scene where he's giving a cliché bully sermon to some rando and "accidentally" kills him and comes to grip with it, it was just wonderful. I guess I like these half-lucid rampages in general, there's another one like that in Paradise too.

Another great thing is the hypervulgar language and Saiki provides most of it. Good luck ever finding another character who speaks like that, even faceless NTRmen in nukige aren't quite that foul-mouthed. The age makes it more believable somehow, shitty brats know no restraint.

I teared up for some weird reason when they revealed that Saiki used the real coin his father gave him rather than the copy he had made for the game. Such a deep touch.
Also despite his mind snapping repeatedly Teppei remained a preachy (if guilty) moralfag to the end in the entire route. Respect.

Ishimatsu at one point calls the Saiki mansion 病巣, which I took to mean that the freaks in it are infecting each others with their madness, but Shun and his father remain remarkably lucid. Jun on the other hand is rather delusional (especially seen in that one bad end), it's hard to tell how consciously he's manipulating Teppei to fulfill that death wish. Sometimes it's not clear if the twins failed to accurately model his mental state or if it was all according to keikaku. I hope they were pleasantly surprised like Maki-san was, otherwise it's just too damn sad.

Although it seems pretty fixed whether Jun exists or not in each branch, it's also fun to reinterpret Saiki's character and relationship with his father by changing the assumption that he has an actual sibling or a split personality for each.

Ishimatsu's route structure was quite a surprise yeah, the Destroy route was rather vanilla as far as these go, and the Love route was grim as hell. It stays true to Destroy = miscommunication and soured relationship, Love = mutual understanding and gentler relationship (if anything in this fucking game can be called "gentle"), but I've never seen Teppei as thoroughly mindfucked, emotionally tortured, physically exhausted and generally hopeless in another Love route. It's important to remember to give yourself a break and take it easy, Teppei.

And yeah Teppei worrying about whether getting fucked in the ass makes him a homo or whatever while his family is getting skewered was the finest black comedy.
Incidentally I feel like this and Maki's had the most "natural" love scenes, for the others it's rather hard for me to grok WHY he wanted to fuck any of the LIs at that point. Not like I wouldn't if I were in his shoes, but I can better accept that a character like Teppei would get intoxicated by Maki-san's overflowing manliness or overpowered by Ishimatsu's predator aura.

I think the ED30 epilogue is the mark that 16 was the true route and it was supposed to herald a follow-up game, maybe.
Also OF COURSE he would get killed by Ishimatsu for the sake of HIS revenge! Ishimatsu allowed him to kill Saiki even though it ruined his own shot at revenge, bringing Teppei's head was the only option left at that point. I can't even call that a betrayal it's just so obvious. Only a dumbass like Teppei would get surprised, I bet Ishimatsu thought he understood what sort of deal they were making when he double-checked if Teppei understood the consequences of killing Saiki

Anyway, Teppei being obsessed with getting his revenge on the kiba who killed his precious Oohira throughout is the main reason I had to recommend playing this route before the last.

It really depends on the English localization. For the majority of them, those are extremely polarizing even among native English speakers. I would say Americans tend to be more tolerate towards them because many of the script changes from localizations often are more reflective to their country's pop culture and sense of humor - the sort of stuff that's more or less unrelatable to people everywhere. Otome are harder to mtl since they're on consoles and you'll have to emulate on top of mtling. Then find a hooker that probably needs a script etc etc. Not impossible, if there's strong will abd desperation nothing can stop you but the process itself can be a pain in the ass. Partly understandable.
PC games though, R18 otome and BL are all on PC. All you have to do is get textractor or whatever and that's it, that's all. This whole bitching is infuriating.

The point is that it's not particularly something that requires a high skill level to learn but rather needs commitment and actual enthusiasm with learning the language. You're not doing any complicated research or discovering anything new that requires real intelligence, learning a new language is something where all the methodology is already established, you just need to practice all the time and take care on how to improve yourself. No one said it's easy but many people have learned secondary languages and committed themselves to immersion for many years. It's not a race to become fluent but rather it's a means of enjoying yourself in the language/culture.
Even if MTL improves greatly to the point where human translators are not critical anymore, it's never going to replace the experience with reading in Japanese nor will it translate certain aspects of the language 1:1.

I have a hard time with the particles and numbers. I'm fine with the rest. Same problem with English. Particles are harder in Japanese than English though. Grammar is okay English and Japanese. My native languages grammar is hell so. But yeah particles my worst nightmare.
