i used to love fumo threads and thought they were peak /jp/ culture. All the anons going out and taking beautiful photography. Its a shame that mixture of discord, twitter, and reddit found out about fumos and now make godawful memes of them too. It's honestly confusing to me how fumos became the next hot ironic meme out of the blue. The whole thing perplexes me because /jp/ culture generally isn't welcomed or recognized by the rest of the world. It's barely recognized by 4chan at all. Then just out of the blue you have fumo memes being blasted everywhere by people who clearly don't understand the culture. A similar thing happened to Azumanga Daioh's niche fanbase and kind of ruined the whole thing for me. It's also weird because despite the culture entering the mainstream, you didn't see boards like /azu/ grow. The opposite effect happened, and /azu/ died basically unnoticed while Azumanga Daioh memes littered on places like Youtube and Twitter. I dislike this age we live in very much as a result, but I'm at least glad I can still have good threads on /jp/ and smaller, more niche focused imageboards.

The Azumanga posters seem like they have some respect for the source material at least, it seems like many of them watch or read at least part of Azumanga. Fumos are so much harder because Touhou's doujin culture is so much more expansive (leading to unholy abominations like that r*blox fumo game), and Gift trying to market them as Lost World merch rather than Touhou merch these days with weird non-canonical Touhous being produced like Blue Reimu

Speaking of very cheap vintage touhou merch, would you believe I got a Reimu puppet from yahoo japan auctions for $42? There's a tiny hole on her ribbon, the printing on her hair tubes is chipping, and a bit of her hair on the back was cut up. The rest of her looks to be in very good condition.

Mikuro and Kaniko from Railway Romanesque
Pretty nice, though I think I'll get my wife to sew their shoes on, since they slip off easily.
While they have a poseable skeleton, you can't make them sit, so it's kind of a pointless feature.

Someone must have done it. Even if Medi isn't the most popular character in the world, but it sounds like something that was done in the past. I think I once saw a supercute Medi doll, but to make a canon Medi would likely have to enter into the complicated question of her size.

Thinking deeper about it, you are right that it is a complicated question than I gave it credit for.
A lot of fan art sizes Medicine to be around the fairies' size, who about the size of children.
SCoOW says she's the size of a ventriloquist doll, which should be quite a bit smaller than a child.
But her ending sequence shows her to be a little shorter than Udonge.
It guess it's one of those things where the creator would have to pick an interpretation.
