I recently finished clearing all the extras for the PC games up to UFO. Now I'm going for the hards. Only MoF and SA left if I remember correctly. Also I cleared all the spell cards of IN in spell practice mode not too long ago.

2,4,5,8,11 and 15. SA is hard as fuck but it's the most fun game in the series, it's rage inducing but not in the UFO way of unfun bullshit that ruins your day. 8 is still my favourite overall bcause nostalgia and because it's got one of the better gimmicks next to SA

Closest thing I've played to a Touhou game was a mobile port of it and it's pretty decent, minor issue were the ads (should note there's no IAPs so that's good) but you can get your adblocker and it will play as normal. Any way to play the games officially or something along those lines? Thanks in advance and correct me if I'm wrong.

You should, they're pretty short and they're the absolute core canon. It would be better to read them after beating each game, because they often contain spoilers, but it's your choice.

All that info usually comes inside the game folder in readme.txt and omake.txt threre are also html manuals sometimes.
If you go to the wiki page of a game in the translation section they put the prologue, extra story and such there. The wiki is handy since it has usually notes to the references and puns, usually most stuff is translated in the wiki but the character profiles are separated on each character's page.
If not you can also check thpatch which has translations for each file.
Most stuff you find untranslated of a file/page are technical issues and some Q&A that tend to be more technical issues and gameplay stuff.
I'm not sure if English patches also translate the text files that come with the game.

i started playing EoSD last year, only on and off though because keyboard didnt register inputs right, and it blue balled me a lot. for a while i thought i was too retarded to play shmups, then tried plugging in a controller and playing on the d-pad. best decision of my life. the games are now extremely fun and i actually feel like dying is my fault, by now have full 1st windows gen downloaded and a few fan games, always playing them when i get the chance, and currently trying to beat EoSD on lunatic with marisa (my wife)
