Okay so i'm planning to really jump into the various nasuverse stuff in the near future, I've previously watched/read/played the Fate/Unlimited Blade Works 2014 anime, the first Fate Extella game and a bit of link, FGO up to part 1, the Tsukihime manga, the Prisma Illya manga, Angel Notes, the Fate/Prototype one off and Carnival Phantasm. So next is just going to be deciding the order of which I hit everything else which i'm going to put below this but any suggestions or other good works in the series you think I should also check out or slot in before another or if it would be better to experience one in a different medium, like I've how KnK's translation is pretty shaky and full of fanon for example , would be greatly appreciated:

The OST for the moment that plays when Luminary is destroyed and Shiki falls towards the Celestial Egg is named "Retroflow/Celestial conception".
Retrowflow, I've been told, is also part of the name of Goetia's noble phantasm (though I don't remember it mentioned, it may be because the eng TL didn't cover it, or maybe because it was mentioned in some interview somewhere).
It is also the name of Aoko's Last Arc: Retroflow - Lightyear genesis (I *think* it was this, though there may have been something more).

At this point, if some of the most powerful beings in the setting all have techniques/events with this name, in separate IPs, it *must* be a properly defined term, even if it hasn't been explained to us yet.
So, right now, here's what I *think* it could be, based on names and the events revolving around them (if they have already been defined and I'm just making a fool of myself, or you guys have more information, please do share):
"The act of returning to the source of creation."
-This is basically it, in the simplest and most general way possible. Aoko's technique is named "genesis" and this woman's one known feat with True Magic involves time travel, Goetia's noble phantasm would bring him back to the start of the planet 4.6 billion years ago when the Earth collided with Theia and the current formation of Earth and Moon were formed, and although Arc is not specifically time travel, Shiki is theoretically falling through an expanding universe back towards its source, the fimament of the cosmos itself; hence why I don't think time travel is a *must* in the definition, but normally a requirement for it to happen, the "it" being a returning/traveling to the source. Shiki to the Celestial Egg, Solomon to the start of the planet, Aoko to ???(Lightyear genesis could mean a lot of things *if* that's the full name; is it the genesis of the planet? The genesis of the universe, ergo, the Big Bang? In other words, the genesis of *what* is she using to beat people up?)

I don't exactly disagree that it was a combination of factors though since seeing is one thing and bringing it about is another. Arc route aside Shiki needs to reach out to death physically. Killing the 'Luminary' required reaching the heart which can't even be accessed until the Luminary is defeated since the Luminary is like a protective shell.

I just finished the Tsukihime remake. It's been a very long-ass time since I played the original version, so a few questions:

1. Remind me again: Was Shiki THIS much of a dick towards Arcueid in the original, too? His bitching and rudeness got really annoying, specially after the Vlod fight.
2. Any particular reason why Arcueid had her granny skirt on when she fought Ciel (before turning into a big light bulb)? Like is there some subtle meaning behind it or was this just "fanservice"?

I'm not saying it will be like this, or that I *want* it to be like this, or even that I believe it will be like this. But I'm saying I could perfectly well see this happen, and depending on how Nasu writes it out, explaining these mysteries brought up at the starting routes throughout the second half of the novel would very much be good writing. Remember, maybe here in /tmg/ we are heavily focused on Arc and her story and the deep lore, but at the end of the day, that's not what Tsukihime *focuses* (I don't mean doesn't have, but rather, does not hold it as a main part of the story) on, and also not what the vast majority of the audience cares about; it's mostly about Shiki's story and the drama surrounding him and his situation and the people affected by said drama, Arc is a very important part of it, but as a whole it is a story spanning (as far as we are aware) 6 routes, and the plot brought and explored through it is seen as a single strand of storytelling. Even if at the end Arc isn't at the center of it, the story moves forward and unravels naturally.

Simply put, I would like to believe all the leads until now mean a True Arc route will happen, but I don't fully believe it would be objectively needed. I'll wait and see, but I don't want disapointment over false hope tainting my thoughts on what may be a beautiful story, so I'll remain skeptical until the end and accept whatever's delivered.
