Alright fellow Magical Mirai fags, was the BD everything you wished for?
I thought the camera work was exceptional, especially with the bando angles.
2D Dream Fever and Suki Kirai were a nice surprise on the daily songs.
The virtual stage version of Hero was kakkoii, I appreciate that they didn't switch back and forth during the regular footage.
Blue Planet made me tear up yet again, but I'm a bit sad that it didn't get a Focus on Singer, that would've been incredible to have. Hopefully on a future BD...

yeah i feel a lot of people got into vocaloid via nightcore. met several girls who were that way. for me it was nightwish > nightcored nightwish > nightcore pop songs > vocaloid. nightcore is the gateway drug. I still listen to symphonic metal, black metal, dungeonsynth and other western music though I'm usually not super up to date on any western scenes anymore.

There isn't much in the west that is really like vocaloid, maybe Amaranthe, I could definitely imagine vocaloid covers of a lot of their songs. Western pop music sounds really weird when covered with a vocaloid though even if the tuning is decent.

I believe it. There does come a point where it's just a lot harder to take in new music. Most people's music tastes form in their teens or early 20s I'd say. It's funny since I only listened to some western stuff (alt rock, indie, post rock) until I was 18, then feel into the weeb music rabbit hole with Vocaloid especially and my tastes kinda shifted. I still like all the western stuff I did before, but can't really pick up new music from the same genres I already like. While with vocaloid, jpop/jrock adjacent music, I can still find new stuff I like.

There is nothing wrong with making songs for sake of being fast. There are genres that are meant to have very high tempos and that's what cosMo has always been known for.
However his style did changed, his songs are way less melodic and the structure seems more random and aimless. The songs are aggressive and fast, but lack any tension or impact.

Have any of you guys used the vita3k emulator? I was using it to play project diva f, but on it the you have to touch the screen for the star notes, while in x and f2nd you can just use the joystick. I was wondering if you any of you knows a way around this

You should just get it on RPCS3. Higher res and better shader quality, easier to apply the 60fps patch too

I have a PS3, PSP and Vita but I prefer emulation for no other reason than faster loading/saving.
