I think that would be a valid defense if the Hololive characters really were traditional fictional characters, like with writers and the souls are just actors, but that isn't the case. The line blurs because, as far as their fans are concerned, the characters literally are just the soul behind them being themselves while doing some very light roleplay. Let's steer the conversation away from bfs and Mikeneko being a whore into something I'm more intrigued by: How has her personality or stream content changed since reverting back to her old persona?
You see this everywhere, but people bemoan Coco reverting to Kson because "it's not the same" and while I don't necessarily doubt them, it is often worded as if Kson herself changed, when I don't think this is true. What changed are the people she can engage and collab with, and well, in my opinion and that of many others, she had better collab partners in Hololive than she does in Vshojo.
What about mikeneko? AFAIK she basically burned every bridge, or most people at least avoided her like the plague, and I think Kson wanted to help by making Nazuna debut with a pretty lax company that'd at least ensure she could interact with others in a semi safe space, but it seems Mikeneko wasn't interested and really just wanted to control and cuck fans again.
