ZUN's self-embodied Mary Sue, and also prominent figure in most comics. Also, easy plot device in almost all comics, kinda like "Uh... Yukari's doing something again."

Secondary's favorite. She's been in plenty of non-canon comics, and she's not a deep character to start with.
I thought these were a joke because they're all the most obvious main character choices. If you had a chance to pick any focus for a new manga would you not prefer that ZUN reveal a little more depth in the newer characters?

I'd like to see him go back into Japanese literature. Worked well enough with Imperishable Night.

Heike Touhou would be kinda interesting... seeing what he could make out of faction conflict or the tale of Atsumori.

Konjaku Monogatari would be a great setup for a variety of characters and could bring back Youmu/Yuyuko/Remilia/Sakuya as playable characters.

Hojoki would be silly, but possibly interesting with a bit of ZUN's touch... and beer.

more in depth some characters like Cirno, Komachi, Mystia, Daiyousei, Lily White, Letty, etc... would be great. By the way we already have Perfect memento in strict Sense and Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red.

A Inaba/Inaba style series on the Yakumo household. Yukari is the most interesting Toho so there is plenty of stuff to develop.

Unfortunately I am in the minority with that opinion and the more recent Kochiya household is so much more popular so thats my guess as to what will happen.

That heat boiled the water in the underground, and when the steam pressure reached its limits it boiled over into the above ground as a geyser.
