Yes, I agree that the plot twists were stupid and only served the purpose of inserting drama into the plot, especially since it came out of nothing in Kirari's normal route.
The point is, all the other routes aren't any better and especially the "true" end is pretty bland and boring.

Personally I thought it was pretty subdued, especially compared to most drama you usually see in this media.
I really liked the portrayal of the protag, his current life and his mentality, it felt very realistic.
And the ending was fantastic.

I just finished playing Chie's route yesterday. I don't usually go for the childhood friend types, but Chie was lovely.
I like the protagonist too. His whole backstory and outlook were interesting.

Edelweiss made me rage. I didn't particularly feel that the heroines were better but the protagonist was a different story. I can stand dumb protagonists for the most part and have a wide range of tolerance - at least in my opinion. Edelweiss went far above that line.

Same here. The only route I liked was Chie's, in fact it was the only part of the game I liked. I liked both Chie and Kirari as heroines though, which is why I was upset that Kirari's routes were so terrible.
