You don’t need to fully understand most things to enjoy them. On top of that, you’re someone that has consciously chosen to learn Japanese. You want to know more of it. Right? You see a word and think “ooh I wonder what that means” and not “Oh god another word, wtf man” right?

There’s also things you can do to increase comprehension if that makes particular media more enjoyable to you. Watch anime with English subtitles. Read Japanese manga side by side with the official English translation. Your natural curiosity for the Japanese language will guide you to learn more of it while doing this, it never needs to be painful

Hi guys a month before I download 4000 Essential English Words and I've been working with that for a month with defaults settings configured to 20 new cards everyday but how I advanced reviewing cards had increased from 20 to 70-80 around.. I like Anki but I think that study 100 cards per day maybe it's a lot. But how I said I new on that so I don't know if Im doing well or maybe is there another way to handle this. Maybe reducing cards that must being studied per day. What are your impressions anyone had use this Anki cards for learning and if is like that , what was your experience?

The one I'm using tries to be a bit i+1 so it have some uncommon vocabulary because it uses some kanji I saw early.
About the improvement over time it's a really hard bias, I used to get wrong shit with sho or kyo wrong all the time because I was recalling as shou and kyou but, nowdays not as much. Anyway not getting schizo over it will be a part of change. Reading some blogposts you can't really find a consensus so it's really a hard matter but if I get used I'll get used.
