This might be in line with what Dust says about CM being corrupted and AE's scenario saying they've changed course from CM's plans. The prologue says if they stick to the plan they can help humanity run as long as possible before the inevitable end which seems to be something the planet views as worthwhile with how Arc treats them as her children and appreciates the struggle of life. The planet never turned its fury against mankind and protects them according to Tsukihime. But maybe if they evolve(Become the ideal CM intended?) the universe's destruction will be beckoned? Maybe that's about the one ending being foreshadowed where only vampires were left. You can leave the arena, go to Leo, and ask him for the money and he'll give you like 100k (this is how you have enough to afford Sakura's outfit outside of NG). Then if you go to the guardian and beat it anyway without paying, Gawain will show up and say, "haha real fucking cute, give back the money if you aren't spending it to get us out of here". You can give him the money, OR you can say no and then Gawain says if you won't give it back he'll take it from you.
