What brought this up is that I don't remember if something was said about the storm border regarding extreme circunstances, if it was possible to run out of food/resources during a void dive. It was probably brought up during the nautilus main interlude, but I can't remember at all. In general, regardless of the method used (maybe not with one own's magic circuits, like projection magecraft, but using external mana as the resouce and with mystic codes) I'm just not sure if magi could be able to create substenance/food in the nasuverse. Yes, FGO has a ton of problems, but in terms of actual narrative, considering how slow they are to release content, for me it's less about the content mill and more you know...who's doing the writing. Because even when it's FGO, you can tell when it's Nasu himself writing a chapter and not Sakurai or one of those other shitty writers they keep contracting out to do shit. I don't like to play into auteur theory because I think it's a fundamentally flawed way of looking at works, but books are an exception and most T-M stuff is just books with pretty pictures (and sometimes gameplay).
Even though I don't think he has the creative spark he used to and it's clear going through CCC that there has been a drop in quality, but Nasu is still head and shoulders above the other people who write for the game when he actually gets off his ass to do it.
