They are vulnerable to firearms, though how much of a threat a gun is to them is entirely dependent on their abilities.

A thing to keep in mind is that before Gensokyo existed youkai were being wiped out due to the advancement of technology which was one of the reasons for the creation of Gensokyo in the first place.

It is mentioned in PMiSS that youkai are basically invulnerable to physical attacks, any wounds they do end up suffering healing as good as instantly, regardless of how severe they might have seemed. Spiritual attacks are the only way to truly hurt them.

Hello secondaries. ZUN stated multiple times that youkai can not be killed by conventional weaponry. According to ZUN they are only weak to spiritual attacks such as enchanted items or faith. They can also die of old age. But in general, youkai are eternal. Reimu has acknowledged the fact that youkai such as the faeries can never truthfully be exterminated.

Next time read some of the official books before making an ass of yourself. Also, the only reason why the Lunarians are able to defeat youkai is because they use a mixture of science and magic. The Watatsuki sisters for example have everything that Reimu has except more. If you're trying to kill a youkai your best bet would be to put down the gun and find yourself some faith.

Battler's not a good case. He's got a fully-functioning SEP field that sees him through shit.

The best offense against Gensokyou's youkai, fairy, ghost, etc population is to outright forget them. Forget their legends, forget their origins, etc.

Battler would only be able to kill Tinkerbell. Forgetting Youkai/etc existence lead to them creating one last small bastion when it was once assumed they spanned whole continents.

Progress is the perfect enemy, not denial.

On the same hand, she's wrong about all the Lunarians in their entries, which is the most obvious points. Personally, though, it seems to be to the point of being intentionally wrong; I think she was asked to stay as far from entries involving the Lunar Capital.

Personaly I think they are vulnerable to massed gunfire, while they can take a guy or five shooting at them.
