We know that Medicine can manipulate poison at will, we could say that her entire being is made out of poison and so she could control it like a limb, then Medicine is totally capable of "turning-off" the poisonous property of her skin, why she would do that? Simply to hug someone, that's what Medicine's character is about, no one cared about her, she lived an apathetic life and had to go out her way to find allies who would help her, that's why in Medicine's ending we see her in a different fashion, calling out the poison to evade her allies. So yeah, there are many things about Medicine that seem dangerous, but not-so deep down she's just a outcast, that's why we should alp hug and love Medicine! Even If she's poisonous or not, she doesn't mean any harm to those she sees in a positive light, humans are no exception.

Her theme is pretty good, one of the better ones from PoFV, even though they're all good, but I still like to think Yuuka has tried and failed multiple times to befriend her, only to fail because she doesn't know how to turn off the scary part of her.

Regardless of her cute appearance and apparent naivety, she has the ability to not just manipulate all kinds of poison, but also the minds of people, animals, youkai and everything else really just by jabbing them with any poison.
Her ability to manipulate poison would allow her to corrode your entire body into poison, taking over your cognitive systems at the point where you're no better than a marionette on the palm of her hands.
She could cause an incident of larger scale than the Scarlet Mist Incident, she just doesn't do that because she's not as violent as people think really, still not the Youkai to fool around, go beat-up a fairy or something else.

Actually, I'd imagine Medi could be able to converse with dolls. She's stated by Eiki to be neither alive nor dead, so she's already in a similar plane of existence to dolls. It isn't possible to say that she can talk with them for sure but there's a chance. I've noticed a recurring theme when people discuss youkai powers is that people assume that if you can do something, then you can do it to any degree possible.

Medicine is a fairly low-ranked youkai, and might not even be one at all (since she's a doll with a spontaneously born soul, so a tsukumogami at best).
Yes, her ability may give her domain over every poison and the ability to control them, but her power isn't infinite.
Human beings have "the power to move objects", but does it mean every human being could lift a fridge if they wanted? No, only a stronger one would, depending on their power. What about moving a mountain then? Humans can "move objects", so does it mean every human can move every object? No.

Medicine may have the skill to operate on all sorts of poisons, yes, but it doesn't mean she can instantly synthesize a poison that turns you into an inflatable pool toy before you burst into a pile of gold ingots. The more complex the poison, and the more powerful its supposed victim, the more power it would take. Power she likely doesn't have.

I think people turn to absolutes when they lack a point of reference. For your example, we're all human (or are we?) so I think most can relate to how much effort it takes to lift a fridge and how moving a mountain would be right out of the question. But when presented a character with nonhuman abilities, we don't have a way of knowing their limitations aside from whatever the fiction decides to tell us. If the fiction does not inform us, then we let our imaginations go wild.
