How do ranks work? I assume it goes from 9-1, then Japanese 9-1. From what I understand by reading the FAQ, once you get to 1, you can no longer get any lower rank, but once you enter the Jap numbers, your rank can go down all the way back to 1. Is this right?

4. Players who go for kokushi are easy targets. They either discard every tile they draw no matter how risky or break apart their yakuman.

Do you think that someone would continue going for Kokushi Musou if they hadn't already all of these discarded terminals or honors? He was definitely isshanten/tenpai for Kokushimusou after these 10 turns, at least that would have been my conclusion. He would have broken apart his hand sooner otherwise.
