You aren't wrong, but they'd get less views either way. You can't upload a dozen videos to your channel at once and expect them to all do well. In fact it might even hurt their algorithm.
YT wants you because to listen to them via the YTM platform. As in, their replacement for Spotify. After all, they aren't MVs. Them being on YT as videos is just because of the link between YT and YTM and accessibility.
They want you to find new releases by looking at the new releases on YTM. I don't think auto generated videos are compared with regular uploaded videos when it comes to YT metrics.

I wonder if anyone is keeping track of VWP lore. In Sinka EP 0, KAF doesn't get a key. The other members are all given keys at the end, but KAF just has the Kanzaki crystal. It made me think that Yoyogi Wars would go KAF -> VWP, but that wouldn't make sense either. So the witches will assemble in Kamitsubaki City Area 2 during Yoyogi Wars on January 13, and KAF will start the next chapter in the witches journey on January 14. Laplace has something cooking too, if we remember he is now able to transform into a human like appearance.
