Speculates that Reimu being in this state is due to something magical that separated her mind from her body (turns out to be right)
It's revealed that her soul was taken from her body and trapped in a different dimension. But according to a genius such as yourself eating bad food means you start dying instantly and get teleported to hell because of it.

Making two arcs where Reimu is bedridden one after another was a sloppy job, but I didn't expect anyone to get this confused

Same goes for any derivative work that has somehow garnered a following that attempts to override general discussions of the source material with discussion of said derivative work.
