Well, sure. In a show about an underaged military scientist who can turn anything into anything else, a disembodied soul controlling a suit of armor, a highly-ranking officer who can spontaneously generate fire, a group of immortal super-powered humanoid creatures representing the seven deadly sins, and a being comprised of the souls of an entire vanished nation whose powers border on omnipotence, the concept I just described is a little dull by comparison.

She is a little boring. But a little boring is okay. I don't like girls who are completely out of left field in all aspects of their character and life.

I like Riza, but I'm not particularly infatuated with her. Probably because I'm still a child at heart (or a manchild, to preempt the obvious comment) and find more common ground with younger characters like Winry. Riza feels like more of a nee-san or even motherly character to me, especially in the scenes with her dog.
