I'm reading Sakura Moyu at a slow pace, paying attention, taking it in. The writing feels different than usual eroge wriring, with great focus on the MC's feelings about everything.

I've played this series. If you're getting into gayoushi's work I wouldn't start with it, it's extremely rough. Try Kinanaki or Kokuzai instead.
But if you're already a fan I think it's worth reading, mostly for the last two installments. It feels somewhat like a prototype version of her later works, particularly like a spiritual predecessor to Majo no Shokeibi, with them both being simulatenously edgy and heartwarming revenge stories about a girl hunting down a man she once loved but who betrayed her with big ensemble casts.
The story feels like it was written as it went along with zero edits but it's strangely charming, or at least it was to me.

It's been a long time since I read it so I don't really remember the details, but I found it kind of naive. The author has very strong opinions on how to fix Japan (and it ends with a self-insert character actually doing that) and doesn't really consider other views so it's very idealistic and convenient, but you can definitely feel how strongly he feels about those things. Some of the conclusions were a bit extreme (like how the first chapter is resolved), but it was at least interesting enough to read the whole thing. The different chapters are very different so you might like some and dislike others.
