In eraInSchoolAV, is it even possible to pay off your debt by making Affection/Love falls only? Or is it designed so that you absolutely need to prostitute the first couple to make sure the debt doesn't spiral out of control? I'm playing the extended (3 years, 2x debt, daily expenses) version currently and picked the Highschool DxD school since the girls fall pretty quickly and have relatively high part-time job stats and stamina, but even with 5 of them fallen so far I feel like the debt is just spiraling out of control, regardless of whether I make them work Very Hard or not, even with the 'stress goes down when you 'train' affection/love fall characters'. Or maybe that's the actual issue itself? Since I'm spending time with the already fallen girls to reduce their stress, but also feel incentivised to do so anyway because I can convert their orbs to Part-Time efficiency or faster stamina regen. Especially since with the stress-reduction from training thing active, training at Love seems to wipe up to 40 stress at a time sometimes.

For those who have played and completed eraInSchoolAV, what school and approach did you go for?

What, you mean playing era games using Sugoi on the side to translate in a separate window? That's what people do, actually, even with mostly translated era games. After all, there are still a bunch of events that aren't translated in eraMegaten, for example, and probably the same with TW to a certain extent (unless it's fully translated these days, haven't touched TW in a long while).

It's just more the issue of how much stuff there is to translate, and more importantly, whether it plays nice with your standard copy-to-clipboard stuff, like the one that comes with Sugoi. For example, while one would mostly have 'ignore <>' active, there are era games that have still have traits, or other important info, using <> brackets. Hide it, and it won't copy that to the clipboard; not hide it, and the era games that go for really fancy as heck menu presentations, like eraFL, will show you true hell.

But if you're willing to power through it anyway, then go ahead. Despite the issue of tags with eraFL, I still played it quite a fair bit until I got to a point where I'm just waiting for the dev to add more content. But there are a bunch of era games, like eraRorona, where it just felt a bit too much without at least a basic menu translation done though.

Some of the dialogue has fucked up conditioning that its impossible to just machine translate it directly, as it's not even a sentence in code but dissected words. It's much easier to read through and rewire the code.

Though, you can just kinda feed in the entire messy code into chatGPT and has it figure out the proper sentence.

I see; the Highschool DxD girls tend to have the [Celebrity] trait, but I don't know if that actually does anything. A bunch of them do have [Fast Recovery] alongside pretty high part-timer skills (6-8). I actually had a character with [Treatment] already, but didn't think to use as an Assistant - a bunch of the Highschool DxD characters also have [Jealousy] and [Yandere], so I didn't know if bringing an Assistant along would negatively affect the training session, even if you got them to do absolutely nothing, like in eraMegaten and Mari my perpetual Assistant who does nothing but watch me do stuff, even in bed with others. Should be an option to set an Assistant without actually bringing them into a training session, even if it's something like a "do you want to bring x in?" question.

But looking at chardata.xlsx as you said, I can see that Komaou Academy (Highschool DxD school) doesn't have anyone with [Negotiation] in there. My power level is too low to recognise a lot of the characters that do as well, so without chardata showing which school they belong to in there as well, I can only pinpoint my choices down to a few, to Gabriel Dropout, Tsukihime, probably Fate/xx. Seeing as I was playing a FeMC, maybe I'll become an elementary school student and go for Illy- I mean, Chloe and Miyu. Yeah, it's totally justified.

So of the K's, if you want to play one with it containing a lot of non-random characters, it feels like the best choices are RanceK or AL-K. RanceK's development is slow if not stalled with occasional fan patches, while AL-K, while banished from the general Japanese era board and uploader, exists by its own Discord and uploader:

AL-K uses Azur Lane for its character list, so has hundreds of girls onry, but is really prone to crashing and probably still has a very incomplete automated equipment ('ship parts') system, which heavily affects how combat works in AL-K. The main issue being that ship equipment doesn't automatically upgrade over time but instead must be manually upgraded by (You) by equipping them the stuff like clothing.
RanceK, on the other hand, would probably scare people away just from the fact that it has [males], with the biggest one being Rance himself, who by default (and toggleable) nightcrawls random girls every night and can occasionally 'capture' girls this way. Also attempts to bring in Rance series mechanics like inherent skill levels and invincibility barrier stuff, but feels awkward about it.

But of the K's, do any of the non-special factions in them ever do anything else with their prisoners other than shoving them in jail (and training only (You))? Whether it be body/sexual development, whoring them out, milking them or just putting them on House Arrest (what does that even do, anyway? Another form of 'Persuade'?). I don't think they even do Persuade. Only time I've seen them actually 'train' other prisoners is in Koihime-K, but that's because it's part of built-in scenario mechanics. That one doesn't do the full Special Faction styled 'training' dialogue nor go into a Training session, just "XX decided to train prisoner YY".

And yeah, that seems like general non-special faction interaction as far as prisoners go. I suppose it was done that way because it's otherwise hard to make the AI do that sort of stuff consistently, unless specifically directed to act a certain way. Which is where the Koihime-K specific prisoner interactions occur, I suppose - even in that the faction only does the 'training' to specific characters only, maybe by going off the script from the Koihime games themselves.

AL-K is like the Pops branch of K, it runs like shit and crashes as though nobody tested it. I had to track a bug where the game always crashed day 5 if you play as Japan because it tries to transfer a territory by giving it to the nation's leader, but if that's (you) it no longer works. Hell, the game crashes when you return to the title screen and try to start a new game. Combine this with the meme NTR, nightmarish equipment system, terrible balance changes, and an assortment of other dumb tacked on shit and you've got yourself some high quality Pops content.

When you put people under house arrest it disables prison stuff and you can interact with them like normal characters, letting you invite them like you would when visiting other countries. You can't persuade people but that's not the point, it's useful since it lets you recruit prisoners if you don't have higher strategy/politics than them, without going through the training for the slave fall state.

I don't know of any games where non-special leaders actually train the girls they capture, or interact with them at all. Not even AL-K, where other nations can prostitute their officers if you turn that on. It's kinda strange.

That's one of the main mechanics in SQN. You can get bimbofied and turned into a succubus if you ever lose the mental battle get drained. It's quite elaborate and it turns you into a carbon copy of the bitch that did it to you. And not just you, if you got an assistant, they can get turned too, and you can be the one doing the turning as well. There are some good dialogue reactions to that across all characters.

I actually like the combat in AL-K, because it's a significant upgrade from the standard K combat of 'big numbers good'. It actually imitates Kancolle's combat sequence (since Azur Lane's 'gameplay' is actually a kinetic side-scroller) where having big numbers and 'super OP characters' mean nothing if they can't anti-sub and harassed by a bunch of girls in swimsuits poking at them from underwater. It's the only K that has such a drastic change in the formula that I know of. But as mentioned, it does have what feels like a half-completed/implemented equipment system right now. Until you get to a certain tech level, it feels like the equipment available to (You) is based on the Ruler's Azur Lane nation - which means if the Ruler is custom or some 'not intended to be strong Ruler' characters like the Chinese and Italians, you end up with a very limited equipment pool for a long while. To me the dev's trying to make the K formula fit to the Azur Lane, or at least Kancolle style ship-to-ship combat, so I don't mind what they're trying to do at all. I just hope they manage to optimise/fix stuff before abandoning it or something.

As for the 'meme NTR' stuff, that's all entirely optional - unless you're the sort that is offended by the very fact that they're even there at all. In a K game, no less.

I haven't touched AL-K since their March-23 update, and it looks like the last update on the AL-K uploader was around late August with like 4 or 5 patches after it. Could maybe give that a go and see? I've only been playing off the version on the git, since that translates most of the stuff to make the game significantly more playable than without, and the version on the git is the March-23 version, I think.

Foraging to get the chainsaw, and then logging, probably. Gardening is a trick, it gives you big numbers (yes, I will spend 500 dollars for 5 carrots, thank you) but crops take forever to grow and you can make that money faster. Logging used to be stronger before the supply and demand system, but it should still be plenty.
I don't know where the best place to forage early is though, you need good luck and high skill or a friendly person to get the best loot.

Mainly I'm wondering if i should rework the way I'm reading input files cause right now it wont work with every csv since they're not all in the same format. Would have to make a template, compare the input to the template, and then assign the values I'd want to a list based on the template. Right now it just looks through the csvs, ignores everything without a comma, takes the string and then removes anything before the last comma comma and after a semicolon, and then makes a list based on what's left, which is... very lazy, but works for just extracting the values. But does not work for all cases and values are shifted around at random on various sheets so it wouldnt be 1 to 1 either. It's not necessary, but being able to load any CSV seems like a step you would want in something like this.

So I finally got around to doing that [Negotiation] targeted run, and it's going really well. After all, the elementary school girls were all yuri fans, most likely due to the influence of the two kissing demon sisters. My debt doesn't look like it's immediately spiraling out of control by day 50, which is great.

However, as expected from a bunch of otherwise 'ordinary' elementary school kids, they don't have much of an allowance (roughly 1-2k per person), though a bunch of them seem to be amazing at certain jobs (Chloe by default seems to only cost 5 Stress to do Newspaper Delivery (VH)? If only eraInSchoolAV had a mouseover trait explanation or a manual of what traits do). But this is in contrast with the Highschool DxD celebrities, especially Rias and Akuno who could pull nearly 30k per Very Hard job appropriate to their skills, and forked out 10k-11k every 10 days. I probably need to go for the kissing demon sisters' mum or Luvia. Maybe Rin has good part-time skills but most likely poor like her canon self.

Of the schools you can start with, which one of them is a smoother experience on a 1st run on School difficulty? I feel like Hogunbara Gakuen, the Illya Prisma school isn't that bad of a choice, but I wonder if there are more 'efficient' starting schools. Though looking at the Achievements shop and the cost of the stuff in there, I assume you're expected to be playing literal hundreds of games or something. Since each girl only gives 6 achievement points when reaching a Fall state (affection, at least), and while things in there cost up to the hundreds, some things in there are more of the thousands of points. And that's before you spend those thousands of points on your specific waifu, too.

I almost feel like I'm probably missing something obvious that I should be doing, like eraBEMANI's Strategy mode, which I still can't seem to beat since Stress spirals out of control without having a starting Medical Room.

Depends on if you have dungeon sex turned on or not. If you do they will slowly get hornier and hornier until they rape you and might waste turns in battle if they are too horny. You can fuck them to calm them down though, for a time. Kind of a pain in the ass.

Do they have high Lust sexual skill level? I feel like Lust sexual skill level directly relates to the speed in which horniness ('GOOD') grows bright pink. Maybe some traits also have direct affect on its speed, like Perverted and Reserved. Hard to say without looking at the coding, but it feels right for the Lust thing, at least. HAPPY status is directly related to this, in that someone in HAPPY state will gain horniness. This can be observed even on characters with no fall state nor having any 'Training' at all, if left/constantly in HAPPY state.

That said, it usually doesn't grow enough to be a problem unless you really stay in the same dungeon without leaving for hours upon hours on end, fighting or even just walking around. Which sounds like what you're doing, unless you're actually leaving the dungeon and returning; in which case it's probably because of high Lust skill or something else.

As for 'In Heat', that only happens in three instances:
- Demons: On FULL MOON, all Demons are always 'in heat' (F-MOON HEAT)
- Non-Demons: They have a trait that makes them go into Heat when they're ovulating (Wild? Something Beast related? Don't remember specifically off the top of my head). I think males can also go into Heat but I don't remember the specific details about them.
- You used an item that is causing this somehow

In otherwords, it's just a 'natural thing', most likely, and can be safely ignored. In most instances, they stop being 'In Heat' the moment the moon phase changes (out of Full Moon, or out of the moon phase in which the character is in ovulation), which is as easy as moving around in a dungeon or just progressing into the next day. Ultimately though you can turn it off (or at least drastically reduce its effects) in the Options as >>44890790 said, as it otherwise only serves three purposes - to be a hindrance to you, to allow you to have sex with them mid-dungeon much easier (whether you're the one initiating or not), and a specific Software uses this mechanic for Linkages.

It's eraInSchool, but a different version of it; kind of like a fork of the original? Anyway, someone is actually translating it, so it's much more easier to play it now than when everything was in Japanese. Not everything is translated and most characters have no dialogue at all though - just keep that in mind. But kind of understandable given just how many characters are in there; there's even Persona 3 and 4 characters in the game because they're other than being Persona users, they're also school kids. eraInSchoolAVer does have male characters as well, but extremely rare in comparison to the girls to the point where most of the time if an anime had males in it (including the protag), they're most likely not in the 'school' represented in the era game. But if you want an existence of a male somewhere, you only need to pick the Maria Holic school.

Unless you specifically want to get the Phantom Executive ending out of the way, I'd probably focus on some other "within 50 days" forced NG+ endings. Like say, if you have Extras on, joining Kyubey's side in the Madoka quest (Neutral/Dark only), or else the Devil Colosseum or P2 endings.

Or, well, maybe you are a Kind-Hearted Summoner, and have Extras on, and plan to fully complete the Revue Starlight event, which at minimum requires 7 NG+ cycles to complete (to Starlight all the girls; the ones from Rag's don't count). Beware if you haven't been playing as a Kind-Hearted Summoner and had Extras on, and had pulled out the girls from Starlight Revue but treated them like any other slave and Trained them at all. For Nana will remember what you've done. Nana has a built-in mechanic to her, as part of her story in that she also 'Bite The Dust' when you NG+, but remembers everything from past cycles, down to what you decided to call her the first time you met her. And she'll remember whether you've Trained any of the Revue Starlight girls at all, and this directly affects whether you can Starlight Nana herself.

But yes, there's a reason why I specifically point out Revue Starlight. It's because as part of each Revue Starlight girls' individual story at the end, (You) pretty much refuse the Phantom Society's demands to hand over the girls to them for 'experiments', hereby causing you to have a bad mark against your name for the rest of the run (I think not paying your debt at all, even after Mayone warns you about it, does this as well). What this means is that for that run, you will be locked out of I think Endings 1-20, which includes the Phantom Executive, Restaurant and Idol endings. That means even if you donated 100 trillion yen, you will never be offered an Executive seat at the Phantom Society. Another thing to note is that as part of each girls' endings, (You) break (You)r special 'MAG constitution' for the rest of that run as well, the ability to hold significant amounts of MAG - so if you're playing the 'inject MAG into my characters' sort of Training, this will have a significant impact on that sort of play. In fact, you might find yourself barely having enough MAG saved up at max MAG to raise a single stat point for yourself.

But Kind-Hearted Summoner, are you prepared to give your all to some girls who are mere replicas of their real selves, who no one will remember in the Megaten world, girls that no one will bat an eye to if you choose to use them as a sexual outlet, or even a womb factory for demons? Otherwise if you're not working in the Restaurant, it could either be requests/events you're doing (some of them have choices that can affect alignment), or else you show mercy during combat (saying yes to 'xx begs for their life'. Or else of the two Community Chests, you donated to the one promoting peace ('White Lily'?). There's more than those that can cause alignment shifts, but you can always just put on the accessory that shifts you towards Dark and go fight a ton in a dungeon.

Joking aside, there's no real penalty as (You) are the Master and it's not like getting [Lewd] has any affect on your actions or choices in events. In fact, if you regularly whore yourself out at the Brothel, being [Lewd] actually raises the amount of macca you make instead.

If getting any amount of abnormal exp is no go for you, including beastiality stuff, a solution is to find an appropriate demon slut to make futa (or preferably already futa) that's always in your active Demon Storage. I think futas satisfy female demon requests for 'a man to ride on' as well? Could even make that demon hold all the misc skills like Treasto and such, so that other than being a demon slut you can use to satisfy sex requests, they can provide off-battle support.

Blood Oath is through Trust fall, which must be activated in Options (Untrained Fall + Trust Fall). You can still get an Untrained Affection Fall while getting a Trust Fall, so they can get both simultaneously.

The main difference is that Trust Fall requires one to never have Trained that person. If you do, they become locked out of Trust; if they're on Trust Fall already, they 'lose trust in you as an ally', lose the Trust Fall state, and become uncooperative. If they had both Trust and Affection Fall, however, they instead 'give in to their lust' and Trust Fall goes away, but Affection Fall stays; pretty much from there they go like a standard Affection Fall. Note that this Trust Fall loss happens at any stage of Trust Fall (Trust -> Ally -> Blood Oath), including Blood Oath itself. Usually if you Blood Oath someone, they are removed from the list of characters you can Train so long as they hold it (so if you NG+ with them holding Blood Oath, they're still untrainable), but on the off-chance that you do some fancy menu manipulation to be able to target them despite being Blood Oath, Training one will make them lose Trust Fall anyway, including Blood Oath. No, you don't get a refund on that 1mil you just spent on them.

The main thing about Trust Fall is that since you can get someone to a Contract-able state without Training (including non-combatants, since they gain Loyalty if they are working in the Restaurant and so are (You)), they require a lot of Loyalty grinding. Using a point system where each Alignment difference between (You) and someone else counts as 1 point (so N/N -> N/N = 0 points, L/N -> N/N = 1 points, etc. to L/L -> D/D = 4 points):

Mysterious Charm Modifier only applies to those of the opposite sex than (You), like normal Untrained Affection Falls. Otherwise there is only one Loyalty pool for both same and opposite sex, unlike Untrained Affection Fall. Once you achieve Ally, you can Blood Contract them right away. Its best use is with non-combatants as mentioned, since with it if you get lucky on Loyalty gain rolls you can achieve Blood Oath with them to 'secure them' for future NG+ runs, pretty much. All you need to do is grab them early to reduce the amount of time needed to make them contractable.

On a funny note, if a character somehow achieved Affection Fall before Trust Fall, the game will register them into the 'number of Loving Slaves' and they are eligible for nightcrawling like any other Affection Fall character, even if they become Trust Fall later.

I've been trying to get RanceK (1.2.25/26) to run, but everytime I try to start a new game (or create a custom character) it throws out an exponentiation out of range error when trying to show certain info that uses the same calculation (seems to only be 2 lines). It works fine for someone else and the Japs don't seem to have any issues either. So it's likely something on my end. Thing is TohoK works just fine, so the issues also seems just limited to RanceK.
Anyone have any idea what obscure or exceedingly simple thing this might be? Yes I'm on jap locale.

The Emuera that comes with RanceK is a fairly old version that was customised for it or something. But even newer ones (e.g. 1824+v18+EMv17+EEv41) works; it will however start going off about CHECK_OVERFLOW. I'm not sure exactly what 'overflow' it's checking for, but I disabled it and I haven't had any issues with RanceK 1.2.26 so far.

To disable the CHECK_OVERFLOW stuff:
- Go to ERB\SYSTEM\
- Open NEWGAME.ERB using notepad or similiar
- On Line 10, where it'll say 'CHECK_OVERFLOW 1', just add a ';' in front of it (so that it looks like ';CHECK_OVERFLOW 1'

That makes the system see it as 'coder comments' and not actual coding, so ignores it. But yeah, as mentioned, doing this for Emuera version ending EEv41 has worked perfectly so far, for both the Whale In and National scenarios. Maybe the Overflow coding thing is more a safeguard for potatos to not overcook and explode?

Sure, in TohoK. Put chance of death in battles to Max and allow NPCs to do Executions. Then play as a Custom Ruler with all the best Capture Skills possible learnt and proceed as normal, but as you start snowballing and take over most of the map, start imprisoning the 2hus that fought alongside you, and then execute them while they're in prison. The goal is to eventually have only (You) as the only one in your entire faction, with literal armies of millions at your disposal to throw at the final enemy. Depending on who they have left, they might be able to wipe your 100k no-general stacks and even start taking back territory, so be a bit careful about it, but the goal is to whittle them down if possible and gradually capture and execute their 2hus, until it's safe for (You) to lead your own army of 100k to conquer and capture the last territory. Hopefully your Capture skills proc to capture and execute as many as you can, and then when it does the post-nation destruction thing, hopefully they all get captured and then you can execute them all as they come.

But well, if you don't want to be the 'bad guy' so to speak, there is another way of going about it. Turn on Tentacles and make them at least Strength 3 (or 4 or even 5 if you think you can handle it), and proceed as normal. Make at least 3 days worth of saves every turn until the Tentacles appear; if they appear near you, reload to previous days and do something slightly different and hope they appear somewhere else. Now, you may ask, why the Tentacles? The Tentacles seem to have a naturally high capture rate for battles, and most of the time if they take someone out completely, they capture everyone. So then, you're not being the bad guy here; you're just granting the 2hus who have turned into seedbeds 'mercy'. If only you could save them. You were too busy building up the strength required (by conquering your neighbours) to deal with the Tentacles, after all. Such an unfortunate affair that the Tentacles took over a good portion of Gensokyo before the Great Hero (You) fought and destroyed the Tentacle Menace. Just don't lose and end up being a seedbed yourself.

The one on the git that is partially translated seems to be based off Version 1.053 (Jul-22), which is password locked too, so maybe someone had access to the password and were updating the version on the git for a while. On NG+, macca gains for all characters carried over (except (You)) is dropped significantly until you hit an ending to be eligible for another NG+ cycle. I think it drops to like 5% per NG+ cycle done up to a pretty high number? Not sure if it gets to 100%, as if you already got an ending on NG+ start. So on NG+, until you get any ending, Rise and anyone else you bring over will be worth pretty much nothing and you'd be lucky to get more than maybe 5 macca in jobs where they were getting 100+.

If you sell a human character, I think they will eventually turn up on the Devil Auction as 'Second-Hand Goods' again. But you'd have to train them all over again and they will, of course, come with a ton of sexual experience from their previous owner. Human characters are worth a lot of Macca for selling based on their stats and levels alone, while Demons need talents and experience to back them up to be worth more than Humans.

If yen is your concern, make sure to send everyone to work in the Coal Mines enough that they can still do a regular night job (Restaurant, Brothel, etc.). Not only does it give you money based on stats and level of the miner, it also gives you jewels that you can sell to the Dwarven Blacksmith (if you have 'unbalanced content' activated).

There is a macca and yen limit that can be brought over in every NG+ cycle, which gets larger per cycle done. But if you bring over ED points on Material Items, it brings ALL the jewels you mined out as well - and depending on how much typing/clicking you were willing to do, especially with a huge list of fallen characters, you might very well be able to bring over about 5-10mil in jewels to immediately sell a bunch of to have a large amount of yen on hand at NG+ cycle start.

While I've never played as an old person, I've played as a loli (Child body type + Ignorant, etc.) multiple times before, more for a sort of 'Spirited Away but in Gensokyo' experience. But even then just like your example, it's mostly used on first encounter basis only, like if you started in the Three Fairies' house, or if you meet Parsee for the first time in the Underworld when she's guarding the bridge (she treats you like a literal lost child and (You) throw a tantrum over it). Otherwise the other first intros are as normal, including the era slaver-style looking at 2hus from a sexual monetary worth perspective, from an ignorant child no less. But otherwise it's stuff like Yuugi forcibly making the Non-Drinker loli/shota (You) drink alcohol like any other, and stuff.

If anything, it'd be nice if there was an expansion on child-play (in a strictly non-sexual sense). Like if you started in the Human Village, you could attend Keine's school for stat gains and such, but since you're seen as a human child, you're not allowed out of the village as a random otherwise hidden NPC would be watching the gates. Unless you TSP out or sneak out in the night. But well, this would require an expansion on the Human Village map in general. Maybe make there be some roaming mob characters like the hobgoblins of SDM that can be used for other roles/events; maybe even a 'Hunt for Girls'/'Invite (Mob) Girls' option where for a fee you could bring them to the Love Hotel, and if the saved mob girls like you enough they might even go with you for free. The main purpose of choosing specific maps currently is easy access to the 2hu(s) you're aiming for, and this is the same for the Human Village. Starting at the Human Village should be more about having access to a lot of stores, like you currently have right now, but maybe make it possible to buy various types of wood and such, only if you actually live there, but expensive. So living in the Human Village would be centered around doing part-time jobs to earn money and buy stuff, unless you want to go gather them yourself.

Then we can move on to the next map, like say Hakurei Shrine.
