Pretty good overal, if you're okay with or can at least stomach the ultra narou style first half. I like anime like that, so I was fine.

Not going to lie, I don't think that's good writing either. To be honest, Zakuro's far from being the only character at the receiving edge of bullying (of course) so I don't think it's particularly productive to focus on her as if she's the only bullied character in Scajiverse. But at the same time it's the character that makes Scaji slip up and you can totally see it because he makes subtle changes to her with every single take on the story. In TnS she's a disillusioned fiction consumer unhappy with life not being similar to a book (a pretty obvious criticism of a hypothetical otaku being unhappy with their life not being anime), in Subahibi that's changed to the panache thing which I think alters her entire dynamic, and in TnS Remake her dad leaves the family after plunging them in debt and her mom basically becomes an alcoholic who sells her out to the mafia.
Possibly that's what Scaji actually wanted to write about all that time, or it just came to him after the Sakurano series marked his entry into generational family dramas. I think he also tried to improve the situation with picrel (too little too late though).

I haven't been able to read too much of it so far due to IRL time constraints, but I'm enjoying it. It's been a refreshing change of pace from typical fare where there are few to no consequences. I've had one bad end already and it was pretty damn bad, which I appreciate. I finished Ami's route, and am in Sunao's now because there's a super obvious "hey kid, wanna pork the B-movie buff?" choice on the pathway to Full Chaos so I figured hey, why not save myself some backtracking.
This game really lives or dies on how you feel about Ami, is my impression so far. The other characters, with the exception of Fumika who earned my respect with the thing she does in Ami's route, aren't that interesting to me so far. But, hey, hidden depths and all that.
