The new Mei protagonists physically travel between worlds, rather than inheriting memories like Rika.

Also, this is actually the 127th loop after the gun cliffhanger. Little by little Rika progressed towards this miraculous perfect fragment. Rika kept track of everything and never gave up even if the situation seemed hopeless. Satoko seems to realize that and feels in contrast ashamed about her in contrast to Rika's perseverance.

I wonder if this is leading to Satoko escaping and continuing the battle or her opening up about her own bad end futures. It really could go either way with her reaction.

the bad end futures don't really justify anything. Anything other than Satoko commiting sudoku and continuing looping without Rika would feel wrong. But Rika would also need to sudoku in order to get back the original Satoko and use her knowledge to fix everything I guess.

I'm a bit puzzled as to why exact numbers suddenly appear instead of vague terms as before. In my opinion it just creates unnecessary implications or questions like what the hell was going on in all those previous loops? Are we still following the same fragment since chapter 15? Did Rika put her plan into motion, relying mostly on a miracle, every time before, but it always ended in failure because Satoko didn't miss or Rika wasn't miraculously helped by anyone? No one helped Rika either, because Satoko successfully infected someone with the virus and then directed the person in question to kill Rika, so from Satoko's perspective everything still went perfectly according to her plan, aided by Rika's passive attitude where it looks like she's doing nothing? Was Rika really unable to find a hiding place for Satoko's gun without being killed instantly or is it because Satoko carries a gun with her all the time and never sleeps or bathes? Is the reason we haven't seen Eua in a long time because she's bored to death? And I could go on like this for a long time.

The car's easy. Tohya was in pretty rough shape, it's possible he wasn't actually hit at all, just put in a car normally. And Sayo has a good track record of surviving absurdly lethal scenarios, so it's possible she could escape drowning once she realized Battler had jumped in as well. The mansion is tricky, but Sayo could easily hide herself and Tohya away from prying eyes similarly to how Okonogi hid Ange at the end of Twilight. Sayo went through the trouble of liquidating some of the gold, she may have either had the card she showed the siblings or another cash stash as a contingency or to share with someone, and even one of those ingots would be more than enough to buy a house and a new identity. It wouldn't even need that much prep if she lucked out and happened across her mansion quickly after landing. Sorry but I just had an idea I was already typing out. It can be a coincidence without hurting Sayo's character, if Ikuko already existed as a persona prior to 1986. To add on to this, who's to say she had to prepare the mansion, car and manuscripts after the Rokkenjima incident? Sayo already had a love for mysteries, and Shannon talks about her time in the Golden Land in episode 4 in a way that doesn't match up with the Golden Land shown in the story. Even if Shannon and Beatrice said they'd keep everything the same, it's more than possible that when not on the island after solving the epitaph Sayo as Ikuko spent her days in that mansion writing stories. First she has to either untie the gold bar or swim in spite of it (they are noted as heavy multiple times throughout the story so it can't be a case of "R07 didn't consider they were heavy" scenario), then she either also has to bring Battler back up to the boat as I doubt she'd just leave him (would also pose the problem of how she even found him washed up after the case or how she even knows he's still alive to look for him), dump the Beatrice clothes and change into the Ikuko outfit (which would seem odd that she would have prepared considering she was planning to die), have a somewhat egregious amount of money on hand to give to the car driver for them to just give up their car in the middle of nowhere if she untied the gold bar and drive back to where Battler/Tohya is (though she stumbled on him on the way at least.)

Ikuko's name doesn't really mean that. It means 幾 (several/afew) 子 (child). You can make it a play on numbers, but then you get 1(i)9(ku)5(ko). She could still be in the clear, the problem would be how she maitained her style of living after 1986.

Tohya was unlikely to remember how Beatrice looked like. So probably in some ways Ikuko actually reflected on the meta-Beatrice we know most and hence why her figure and relationship with Battler have some quite good characterization. Ikuko partially projected onto story herself and her feelings for Tohya (which he was too dense to see, ironically). Think about all those evenings with tea in the mansion, discussing things, reflecting on the theories and intricacities, etc. It's obviously mainly implication, but it works pretty well. And Tohya definitely was somewhat using Ikuko's image, possibly unknowingly.
There are also other indirect clues, like the fact that original Beatrice had a foot fetish while the Tohya-written one didn't and was much more asexual compared to EP1-2. Remember that Yasu wrote about groping and etc, there was none of that in EP3-8.
In other words, it's the meta Beatrice that was in the story since EP2 that was born from Ikuko's and not Yasu's image.
