The nice thing about using color (sparingly) is that it doesn't take any additional space on the page, and it's easy for humans to visually scan. Instead of scanning the page for 2s in a sea of 1s, it's yellow vs white.

It seems like it, along with Fujitv 1 and Fujitv Next, is a niche, special interests channel that's available as an extra tv package from Japanese television providers. One site I saw showed that even TBS has extra "TBS1" and "TBS2" channels available, also as part of extra channel packages.
I wouldn't be surprised if some weathernews viewers can't watch Non's program because they don't subscribe to the extra Fuji channels.

I forgot Kawabata is a caster and wondered who the really sparse line belonged to. I'm pretty sure theres no workaround to get sqlitebrowser to display names at the bottom since it needs both axes to be numerical data for it to make a point plot. But that's okay since it's not a full-featured plotting program. Of course an actual plotter like gnuplot, python's matplotlib, or Julia's plotter can dereference the numbers used for the x axis.

I logged in to the pubnix once and saw you were editing header/footer.html with vim. Have you tried remote file editing and Dired usage with emacs's tramp? For me at least, vern kept rejecting attempts with the ssh connection type "/ssh:...", but it does work with sshfs, "/sshfs:...". You just have to have sshfs installed locally, no extra configuration required. It saves me from having to copy my emacs configuration to the server and having to switch between two separate emacs instances.

I've never been a fan of tramp. In the rare times I need to do heavy development on remote files, I take a bit of a heavy handed approach and use unison to synchronize my local copy of a project with a remote copy. Thus, I'm editing locally and unison synchronizes filesystem changes to the remote server in a separate process. This isolates my editing from any potential network slowness which I despise.

I haven't tried unison before. Articles say it's a bidirectional rsync. So far I've just been using rsync to sync my site to vern and home directory between personal machines. For the latter, unison might be more convenient. I use tramp/sshfs for light file stuff on vern.

I was also wondering how you run cron jobs on vern, but yeah, doing it on your machine so vern serves as a backup is robust against vern going down. When I have time I might try setting up cron jobs with systemd timers on vern. Systemd kills user timers if you log out, so I have a screen (tmux alternative) session that's been running since Friday, which keeps my systemd user service alive even if I end the ssh session. I'm not sure if you can see it with the w command. There's another user who always shows up as using tmux. I guess he's doing the same thing. (I do all this since none of my local machines are online 24/7)
