I am an EOP so I only played Jack Jeanne recently.
Down to earth plot, has doses of slice of life stuff, most characters don't have too much heavy going on with them. Very simple game. It makes it underwhelming in a sense, but I can appreciate some less fantastical and lower stakes plots, and their situation exacerbates the issues they do have enough to make it interesting.
Also liked the CGs a lot and the music was pretty good, still listen to some of the songs.

Bruh, I've gotten into such bad habits whilst playing otome titles... Nothing gets me more productive doing other things than opening up a VN. I've even started to nod off as soon as I open them up. I enjoy the games, but actually getting through them is a test in procrastination. I make near zero progress during each session and since the games are near always 40 hours long it means that even if I do sit through for a good few hours grinding out a route I'm still barely anywhere through the story. Even when you get that burst of energy when starting a new character's story I always start tuning out towards the later half.

I know it’s off topic but just wanted to share a small victory I recently had here since I don’t really have anyone else to tell this to. I’m finally able to read and understand almost all dialogue in VN and manga easily now and most importantly it’s finally enjoyable. There’s still a lot of stuff that I find very hard but it finally feels like I can open just about anything and read it with minimal difficulty/pain, unlike before where starting any new series meant at least 10 hours of painful struggling before I got in the swing of things. It must have taken me over 400 hours of forcing myself to read stuff in Japanese to get here but I’m so happy I’ve finally reached this milestone. It feels like I can finally enjoy stuff in Japanese now and I’m not just gaslighting myself into thinking that. I’m almost inclined to say this feeling was worth those 400+ hours even but maybe I’ve coped so hard it’s become a part of me.

my take is that for a lot of fan tl projects, the main motivation is to "practice" the language, but they eventually reach a point of satisfaction in their levels of moon or they get burnout and quit. Either that, or they're too cocky about their skills going in and they regret it.

newer fans seem less interested in learning moon though since mtl keeps getting better and they actually have quite a bit of translated options to pick and choose from.

I think it's just a bad ending (I think I CTRL'ed it when I read that one because it was just weirdly inserted for the porn and I didn't like the character). I don't think the whole VN is ever getting Fan TL, it's probably too big. The common route itself is long as some VN and the character's route don't have repetitions so you are basically TL 4 VN in term of content on the top of some stuff obscure even to natives. Though the common route was imo the best part of the work, so I'd be happy if people can experience it at least.

Shingakkou thou, has been discussed a lot after gore screaming show came out.

They release it w/o voice then "a fanpatch" miraculous circulates a while later on vndb.
