Why do people insist on changing /jp/s content just because of the name change?

Japan General didn't fit our /jp/ topics either.
/jp/ should still be /jp/, the only thing this should change would be all the "All things japanese welcome" but those threads were never /jp/ material and they were just troll threads most of the times anyway.
