A few things that I should mention.
It's just desktop audio capture since I couldn't get yt-dlp to play nicely. It's probably not worth listening to twice, due to some audio quality of the source, and other things. I'm sorry about the two or three times I got caught off guard and let other audio source leak into the archive (only about 1 second each time, nothing too bad, but it's there).

I finally finished all 42 albums on Yuka's post and rated them. The music was pretty diverse, and I enjoyed the experience. I ranked them out of three points. I can't put it into words why I love Mabo so much but she really is a skilled vsinger. I recently listened to this Zutomayo cover from her and it blew me away. I feel like I'm falling in love all over again.

I'm of the opinion that one should never listen to all the songs from a vsinger in one go. Not many vsingers like to stream, or stream often enough to keep you interested. You should listen to the songs that you like and have already listened to until you're sick of them. Then you can give other songs a try. You can't beat the feeling of finding another banger song from the same vsinger. It will rejuvenate the love that you have towards her.

This is an interesting question by the way.
Vtubers with the GFE like Rushia would dislike this or pretend to ignore it.
But others are more open to it as long as you show you still care and are there for their birthday and other events.
Ironically this would be called spinning plates in real life, but youtube makes it into a strange mix because every streamer has thousands of viewers too and the focus is slightly different when it entertains the domain of entertainment.


I remember how simple my life was when I only watched Miko and didn't have to worry about tracking everything.
Youtube is bad because it is trying to fill your entire free time and you will end up with too much if you don't exercise extreme restraint.
Combined with greed this is a recipe for disaster.
I have multiple calendars with important dates like birthdays and events now and still feel bad for not being able to keep up, but I need to be a bit more efficient with my time and do something productive.

It's more complicated.
The issue is more that I care and have a bad habit of forgetting things because there are too many tasks in my mind.
When you watch a vtuber for a long time you will care more because of all the happy memories.

But I care about too many things, and my task list keeps exploding even outside of vtubers.
There is a way to improve this by making a list between urgent and important tasks.
Writing down things also helps remove them from your mind.

Watching vtubers singing and being playful makes me really happy.
When I question what I desire in my life I know I would never regret the time spent having fun like this.
However I may need to change my priorities in the future if I move to a different country and start my own adventure.

When I discovered vtubers it was pure insanity for a few years during the Hololive bull market, but I don't have that issue anymore after healing the source of my addiction.
Experiencing the "hidden" darkness of Hololive having control over the talents, fucking things up and seeing most of them get vaxxed also changed my perspective on vtubers to see it more as entertainment than the GFE.
It would be a big issue irl as I am sensitive to this sickness and become very sick in half an hour near an unlucky person just from shedding, but when you think that this will remain a distance relationship it doesn't matter.

To sum it up I think it's a good way to live to go all out with the things you like even if you go overboard a bit as long as it's fun.

As for covers, it will really just come down to your feelings towards the individual girls. I don't think any of the six are really amazing singers on their own. Aru and Asu are far better vocalists. It's probably one of the more exciting announcements for me this year, given they are both in my top 5 artists according to basically every yt recap. I have high hopes (which I'm sure they can both deliver on). I was immediately reminded of KMNZ wishing Yuka a happy birthday during World Nagase.
I'll gush for a minute but the output from Yuka this year is insane. Including through Eureka: 11 singles (2 oclock + 6 consecutive single release + 4 on new mini album), concept album with 11 songs, 7 mini lives (club nagase, world nagase, form 1, 2, 3, home, oacl), 31 singing streams (as of today), 5 podcasts, first one man live, additional members only content (albeit small). She also appeared at Re:Volt 2023, Motto Music, and V No Utage.

Should we discuss the motivation for people to become vtubers, for others to watch those vtubers and the implications for society?

This goes for both streamers and viewers in her case, although there is more to it.
There can be other motivations, like the desire to be special, to be in the field of music or entertainment, to make an impact, or to fulfill a dream.

One worry I have if this is not going to generate regrets in the future, and if this can be continued for years or decades without the desire for something real that you can touch in the physical world.

Yoshika is joking about having high expectations for a husband, which may seem like the standard excuse for a streamer, but if the law of attraction is real she attracted fans who are close to what she is looking for.
At the same time her viewers are looking to enjoy fun times, but they may be stuck in the same trap of repeating past behaviors.
