Quests, same old kill shit. Drop rates never seemed like a problem, unlike in Allods. Most of the zones so far are pretty compact, spawn rates are fairly quick, but quite a few quests basically tell you to kill X, then go lol kill X again I messed up my potion.

Straightforward simple quest or grind. Grinding is a bit inferior to questing but would probably be as good if you could get a group to sit still at a spot with tons of spawns.

Group exp doesn't decrease linearly per additional member, so it's good to group for everything.

The quest dialog can be pretty entertaining. They're in a conversational format similar to a single player game; rather than a giant wall of text. Your prans contributions to these conversations are especially note worthy. However, they do typically follow the standard "kill this" and "deliver that" formula.

This. I guess it's irrelevant to those of you that skip right over quest text, but I rather enjoyed them.

Rather than the usual one-sided dialogue by the questgiver, it's acutally a fully scripted conversation between the NPC, your character, and your pran. Several of the NPC's actually have character; your own character often makes snide remarks and enjoys a dry sense of humor, and no dialogue is complete without your pran there to contribute some sass to the conversation.

Right now the guild is completely full, but we'll be trying to extend the capacity quickly when CB2 opens (at least I hope that's a "we" and not an "I"). If you're just starting though, you'll need to do nation quest (L10) first anyways, so you won't be able to join immediately when the game goes up regardless.

The game just isn't remotely fun due to a culmination of problems, whether they be poor game mechanics and design, poorly thought-out early game, horrendous quest spawn rates, and glaring bugs. Anyone playing this game claiming to be having fun are either in denial or masochists.

Now back to Aika Discussion, I want to forget that nightmare. There's a certainly a sudden explosion of interest in Aika. I knew we'd be getting several more, but I never expected so many.

About the 72/72 comment; to be fair, there are several alts in the guild, which I think should be kicked to make space for newcomers.

I for one will be dedicating all my waking hours to leveling up the guild in the Namae of our glorious leader.

In Allods, there were character and guild name reservations for people who were in the closed tests.

If you mean will the guild be automatically created with us in it, no I don't think that's the case. However, the situation is a bit different because guilds have levels that require player input to increase. This could send it either way though, either ensuring they're pre-made, or ensuring they're deleted, depending on how the GMs see it.

Each nation has their own instance of the world, so pretty easy. However, they are able to go into your nation's instance, so you get the occasional one. Even if you are getting camped, you can just switch to pve in 5 seconds and farm there until they go away.

Rifleman has the stealth skill to kill anything that targets and the Warlock has Mana Shield to reduce damange. On top of that, they're also both extremely hard hitter so they kill stuff really fast outside of dungeons.
Only problem they would have is probably those soloable non-dungeon bosses with a ton of HP.

If you do need help with anything you could always ask someone from the guild.

It'll still eat up anything you toss at it though. It slows down a bit on mine in mass PVP and I'm running on i5/4GB/HD4890, mind you that's still running max settings. It'd probably run fine in mass pvp on terrible computer at minimum settings.

In all honesty, the graphics are pretty dated, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I'd say the graphics are just little better than games like Guild Wars and Lineage 2. And like both of those games, the graphic engine is pretty efficient, and is able render nice looking, high detailed models with a relatively low poly count.

Angelic Armor
Pros: you don't get interrupted while casting with it on. Cooldown is not that bad (20 seconds) and decreases as you level it. Instant cast, can use it while running.
Cons: it doesn't factor in armor so it takes full damage from everything which can lead to it breaking really fast. It also doesn't block magic attacks.
Verdict: max it.

Rejuvenate
Pros: heals for a decent amount overall, it has no cooldown and casts instantly (can be casted while running much like Angelic Armor).
Cons: it won't keep you alive against focused fire.
Verdict: max this one too, it and Angelic Armor make a good survival/kiting combo.

Holy Arrow
Pros: the only nuke you have till 27.
Cons: it's shit.
Verdict: keep it maxed until you get Holy Tempest, then forget it exists.

Bless
Pros: a decent damage boost, lets you finish off mobs by meleeing them. Paladins will love you.
Cons: decent doesn't make the cut when you have other, much better skills.
Verdict: skip it unless you really like it/people you party with frequently insist you should have it.

Pros: res.

I sure hope you're not planning on main healing any PvE instances. High level Heal is a must in that case, whereas a high level Rejuv isn't so necessary and a low level is sufficient as well as more mana efficient.

Max Rejuv for PvP healing, as that is what you'll be tossing around the most in Battlegrounds/Nation raids.

It might be more CPU-bound in intense situations. There aren't very many textures in the game with only 6 classes and only one sex per, so it's just a matter of spitting out tons of the same thing.

Pros: lets you kite like nobody's business. Awesome in PvP.
Cons: none, really.
Verdict: one point for the quite decent +5 speed at level 1, or max it if you have the points.

Holy Signet
Pros: increases your damage considerably, is an area spell, casts instantly. Comes with a DoT effect.
Cons: horrible DoT damage, will get things at 1hp but never kill them.
Verdict: one point, the damage amplification seems to remain constant, and the DoT remains horrible no matter how much you level it.

Exalt
Pros: makes your heals acheive more, for less mana.
Cons: the effect isn't that visible.
Verdict: one point for the initial bonus, or max it if you want to be healing focused.

Shroud of Turin
Pros: your buffs last longer.
Cons: do you really want to waste points just so your buffs last longer?
Verdict: skip it.

Healing Corona
Pros: heals a ton more than Cure even at low levels (level 1 healed for 600 as oposed to level 7 Cure's 400), area is pretty wide, no cooldown.
Cons: 3 seconds make it impractical in PvP and emergencies.
Verdict: at least one point.

Holy Tempest
Pros: awesome damage, wide AoE, very little cooldown (3s), casts instantly (can be cast while running), can be cast after Holy Signet for yet more damage.
Cons: people will complain you're overpowered.
Verdict: max it.

Keep in mind this is subjective, and other people might feel different about things. If anyone more experienced than me has a good reason why I suck and my advice sucks, they're probably right.

You don't need to get THE PERFECT BUILD this is only CB, your going to get wiped eventually anyway. Try out whatever you like and test out the skills.
Being able to reset your skills also makes it a lot more forgiving than other MMOs.

What I noticed is that defense doesn't seem to decrease damage by a percentage, but rather a fixed number. If I'm not wrong this would mean that, while the shield would be extremely useless while grinding, where mobs hit you fast for relatively small amounts of damage, it would retain its usefulnes in PvP or against bosses.

If your defense substracts 200 damage from attacks, and you get hit by a monster that does 250-300 damage, you will receive 50-100 damage, while your shield will take the full 250-300, meaning it'd break anywhere between 3 to 5 times as fast. On the other hand, if a rifleman hits you for 1000, the shield will only take 25% more damage, and will probably save your life.

Of course this is all null and void if I'm wrong and damage reduction is a percentage instead. Maybe someone that knows Japanese can nab the damage formulas off a moon wiki; I sure haven't been able to find it on english sites.

It's nice to see you guys are so obsessed with tits that we got load of paladins and clerics. This way we can do guild raids easily. I'll still stick with a male character as the only character that I could fap to would be the loli (pran).
