Is induction that much worse? I've had to use an electric stove for three years at college and absolutely hated how long it takes to warm up and the fact there's no way to tell if it's hot besides putting your hand close to it.
I was hoping induction would be the solution to both those problems, but haven't got my own home to try yet.

Well, they both have pros and cons, so it just comes down to your personal preference. For example, I like to make my own homemade popcorn on the stove, and I can't do that with an induction range because my crank popper is stainless steel which isn't magnetic. I also make a lot of slow boil soups, simmering slowly for 8+ hours, and they say that coil stoves are better for that (though I haven't tested the difference personally). I don't think it really matters TOO much which one you eventually pick, induction are fast as heck to heat up and easier to clean for sure. If they get super dirty all you need is a razorblade and the gunk slides right off.

Made some homemade biscuits today for brekkie. Making the dough is super easy, you guys should try it sometime; it's just 1 cup of self rising flour and 3/4 cup of heavy cream, folded together until it becomes dough. Hm, I wouldn't use glue on the band cause it would make opening it for cleaning the plastic ring much harder than it already is.
I forgot to say, after washing it with soap and warm water you should rinse it with cold water, so it becomes tighter.

Accidentally knocked it off my... improvised nightstand—a stool with some books on it—once in the winter, and since then I have to make a conscious effort to hold the halves together tightly (which contributes to the band slipping off—more like being squeezed off), or they would come apart as it's spinning, potentially forcing a stop. In the country of Azerbaijan, two /jp/sies had at last found each other. Their fumos were also, finally together.
Typing like I'm writing a book aside, after nearly a year I finally found the poster from back then. Why is this special? Imagine thousands of people visiting this board, possibly hundreds of them regularly visiting this thread, and only two people from this one country lurking here. The chances of them randomly coming across each other are more than slim; yet, it happened.
