If we were to extrapolate we might conclude that:

- there will be three or more characters in the game
- there will be ~6 shot types, but if there are more than 3 characters, all bets are off.
- difficulty is... well, difficult to ascertain, but if the recent games are to be considered it seems ZUN seems bent on making us suffer. UFO was slightly less difficult by design though

But of course, ZUN is chaos incarnate so all of this is just horseshit anyway, extrapolation is moot.

He is just as likely to make a game with zero characters and 17 shot types anyway.

Also, I'd like to point out that 13 is a lucky number for Japs, so it might be reasonable to assume the game will revolve around luck somehow. Maybe luck will be the new Faith/Spring?

I don't think you can extrapolate anything. If you went by trends, UFO would have had a returning character and a variable stage 4 boss. People were also speculating that Nazrin would be the ex midboss because there had been one from every stage but stage 1.
