Newer and art is less gross but still not do good. It also has an anime and a ps2 port and now a movie.

Because the anime for F/SN wasn't that bad in comparison of the fanmade Tsukihime anime. This is important because most fans of any and all media that has a movie/tv spin off don't have good enough attention spans to read books.

I honestly still don't agree with this. Both basically mashed everything into one convoluted storyline.

I have a feeling people just like the Bleach/stay night anime more is because it had more fighting scenes than the Tsukihime anime. Or perhaps the Fate anime was their first major introduction to Type-Moon.

F/SN anime was almost entirely Fate route.

Because it was more comercialised, better made, and profited from Tsukihime's initial success. And there were more copies made. You can still buy new copies of FSN, whilst Tsukihime has only had a couple of major releases, the initial and as Tsukibako. It's pretty much gold dust.

and tsukihime was Arc route with some parts of other routes and a changed end. it wasn't THAT bad, before reading the novel I watched it two times because it looked interesting

Tsukihime is just a remake of shitty KnK. Oh look, Harry Potter with MYSTIC EYES (again).

Because tsukihime looks like shit. The Gui is shit, the art is Shit, and it's hard to read.

No, FSN's anime was just as bas Tsukihime's, they were both abominations that fucked up the original plot.
The only difference is that in Tsukihime there were no memorable characters except Ciel and Arcueid, and both of them are shit.
While in FSN people obsessed over Archer and Saber constantly talking about them, people would wonder "hey these are cool characters, where do they come from ?" bringing more people into the FSN brand.
