Would you serve five years in Japans military if you received citizenship?

>> No.4410335

That looks like "Japan Air Soft Defense Force" from far away. Not far from the truth too.

>> No.4410358

I was going to go into the military actually but my little brother decided he wanted to make a career out of it, so I let him go instead of me, seeing as my mom didn't want both of her sons out in wartime.

>> No.4410370

No, but I'd join the US military if they let me be a citizen.
...do they actually do that?

>> No.4410373

>>4410370
Yes but why would you want to move here?

I think the whole "Citizenship in exchange for military service" thing only applies to places like Puerto Rico (they are territories of the US).
I don't think it works if you're from Mexico or any other country, for that matter.

I could be wrong, I'm only going off the top of my head.
Can someone say otherwise?

>Citizenship in exchange for military service

Service guarantees citizenship.

>> No.4410545

>>4410516
Let me rephrase that.
It is not possible for someone who is not born in either, one of the 50 states, or one of the US territories, to serve in the US armed forces. Therefore, it is impossible to gain citizenship through this method.

What state do you live in?
I'm assuming the enjoyment of life would vary from state to state.
I lived in Guanajuato for a year and I found it very pleasant.
