Well, I'm dropping Mahiro Iro Symphony. What an insanely boring kusoge. It's almost impressive how they drag out routes with so little substance to this degree. I get the idea of having a very short common route and then making the routes long, but there was just not enough going on in these routes. I stopped listening to most of the voice lines about halfway though Sakuno route, but it still felt like it was just meandering on forever. There is no way I'm going to read Sana Edition either, I haven't read Miu's route, but Sana is literally created just to repeat the same tired joke over and over again. Just a complete slog.

To be honest I didn't expect unreal engine, I've been reading a lot of older vns lately and I guess the jump in technology surprised me! It's well executed though and the use of overlapping cut-in artwork and CGs keeps things visually engaging. The twins obviously steal the show but the voice performances and banter are solid. It serves as a nice primer of the story's premise and ends on a particularly interesting note with regards to how the story and routes in the full version will unfold.
I read sayooshi just earlier this year myself and really enjoyed it as something just so unlike everything else I'd read thus far (I'm still a bit of an untranslated newbie), and in that Geminism is definitely divorced from it. Less of an abject horror feeling and more of a twisted supernatural disquiet. Nagaoka's artwork is as polished as ever though, and with Sapporo on the soundtrack again (which is fantastic in the demo, on that note) there's a great atmosphere present. I'm very curious about the unnamed characters teased in theme PV as well.
I apologise for the blogpost in hindsight, but I recommend checking it out if you have even a bit of interest. It's only 5 minutes long or so.

If you didn't read it at a native level, then you didnt read it. The mistakes that you could be (that you ARE) making in your amateur dictionary hunting deciphering of the language, and that you don't (can't) even recognize are mistakes are way worse than any other way you can read it.

Medabots: Stay/Night
The dudes oversee the girls fighting each other and the winner takes a part of the loser's body. You can choose to start from either of the twin's routes (only one in the demo) and the main question is what will happen once one of the two takes all the body parts and "completes" herself.

Just my gut feeling so I could be wrong, but the game seems to be going in the direction of optional ero that could be removed for an all ages release. Which I'm not a fan of because I prefer for eroge to have the ero be heavily intertwined in the story.
The only thing that could be considered R18 we've seen so far is that sample cg of Kikyou beat up but that's more violence and not sex. Everything else is R15 at most and comparable to Higurashi, which the writer had a hand in on a spinoff title.

The music is good but the default settings makes it too loud and I had to turn it down to like 20% to hear the voices which are comparatively too low. Likely because they don't have a sound engineer on staff.

My main worries with the game are that it seems like they're on a shoestring budget and that they're playing the content too safe.
Nagaoka's not in very good health and all promotional material uses the same few cgs.
Eroguro is pretty well established by now but what we've seen so far from this seems a bit too tame and boring in an effort to stay tasteful for modern mass market.

Overall, the ambience is pretty different than sayooshi. There's not really any oppressive dread yet and is even pretty light-hearted with running gags. Even as a fan of sayooshi, I can't say I'm super excited about Geminism but would like to be surprised and proven wrong when it releases.

The month delay was probably because he needed more time for tending to health and work. But I really wouldn't mind even if they delay to next year for a better end product.
More concerning is that he's been on painkillers since May for severe neck, jaw, ear and eye pain. Yamaga having almost his entire face bandaged up is probably how he actually feels in real life because he mentions the painkillers not really working every few days. Not sure if he's still a chain smoker, but having been one probably didn't help.

I remember that game, where if you miss a random option in the beginning of the game, you get a game over like halfway through and have to start from the beginning. The only exception to this was Touchy which is partly why they're the best company of all time.

I've reread some VNs that I read right when I was starting out learning Japanese and it's surprising to see how well I understood them.
For stuff I read in my first year/year and a half I made about 1 large mistake per book, along with a good helping of small mistakes. (Large as in I misunderstood a scene, small being me misunderstanding a word or phrase.)
Compared to the average translation, that's really, really, really fucking good. And that was at the absolute nadir of my abilities when I was struggling horribly. I rarely make mistakes like that now.

Physical and digital releases should still have separate release pages but for different digital purchases it's enough to have store links without their own releases. When only languages are added the releases should be updated not made into a new release. EOPslop with AA release and 18+ patch should be just 1 release with the patch as a link.

My problem is not that releases exist but that their system is chaotic and lacks structure and thought. Instead of revamping rankings or tags they should look at the release chaos.
