I datamined Immortals by myself and no non-pilot characters were in the game because there was unused code for an "operator" character slot that would have buffed your entire party in some way, the example the code uses for an "operator" is Yuuko, who also isn't in the game.

Seeing as Dimensions releases in less than a week and they haven't brought up that feature, that shit still isn't done over a year later. If it's that low priority they probably don't even have art assets for "operators" yet.

the entire new "VN engine" they started using around 2020 or so for fucking steam ports was made by a mobile game company and was coded with phones in mind from the ground up, it should actually be incredibly easy from a tech standpoint. The real issue is that I don't think they will ever add anything more than that, because the fat retard muv luv producer let slip on-stream that the reason they take literal years to do these stupid steam ports is because the new engine has exactly 0 fucking compatibility with all the visual effect fuckery they were absolutely spamming in their visual novels literally the entire time, so they have to recreate every single unique visual effect from scratch manually. The 2015 kickstarter actually promised mobile ports of the muv luv trilogy. Those haven't released to this day, but Dimensions very conveniently will launch with VN ports of the trilogy (partial, routes missing, Alternative 2nd half missing). They obviously just took the unfinished mobile ports and slammed it into Dimensions. I don't think it took them a lot of work at all.
