Here is how the game upscales itself to 4K. It's not terrible but the text is rather blurry and has some noticeable aliasing.
I think that RAVU_Zoom_R3 upscale represents it with better quality and looks better than this.

Lanczos is certainly not as sharp as RAVU and it adds noticeable aliasing.
At least to my eyes lines in RAVU upscales look very close to how they look at native resolution before upscaling.
Slight halo and ringing are noticeable on RAVU but it's a compromise. Shaders which don't produce those as much usually just destroy way too many details and have pronounced watercolor effect.

For multiple routes games I only read routes of the girls I like, I skip girls I don't like and if the plot just starts to get annoying I drop the game without mercy. I also use walkthroughs, they are a time saver not only they indicate how to get the girl you like but they are also written in a way that you can get the more out of the game in the most efficient way, as in "save here and then load this save later" to get to other girl route or see cgs, events etc.
they also tell you if there are secrets routes and the requirements to unlock them plus websites like seiya-saiga have savefiles in case of locked routes behind "finish all the other routes first" and they even tell you if the game has any bugs and if there's an update available.
Fuck reading every girl route no fucking way. There's too many eroge out there and so little time.

Depends, if you consider games vns to be a challenge, I've beaten games like Persona 3 Portable on the highest difficulty(higher than the ps2 version), which only made it so i had to be careful to pick the weakness of an enemy each time, Fallout games 3 4 and NV on the hardest difficulty, the only thing that really changed was the amount of bullets it takes to kill the enemies, Are those thing challenges? vns in this regards are just "wrong end, load previous save, whoops no save, ctrl skip text till oyu get to that choice" to me. This would be the first Yuzusoft game I managed to read through, I tried some of their other offerings in the past but couldnt really get too invested into the premise as much as this.
I would have liked if they maybe leaned more into the "world of high society" aspect and showed more of it off as Takumi stumbles through trying to get accustomed to it but thats a minor nitpick. Maya was
absolutely adorable in her route, the ichaicha was not lacking in the slightest. What also kept me going was wanting to see how she would handle Takumis secret being revealed, her being literally the only other
main heroine that doesnt know of it going into a route. However, it was setup quite well how the MC and friends treat her for who she is and disassociate her with her family and in turn her doing the same for him. I envy Takumi finding someone that pushes you to give it your all and be the best you can be, must be nice.
Onto Mashing Phonies + Sauna Addition next. Was going to read PriminstAr after that since it got an HD rerelease but im thinking about giving Cafe Stella or Tenshi Ranman a shot instead because of how much I enjoyed Noble Works.

All 3 games feel pretty different from each other. 1 is very retarded and has some of the most egregeious placement of H-scenes I've ever seen. I did like how gruesome the murder scenes were and honestly I felt they were more erotic than the actual H-scenes.
2 introduces a deuteragonist which actually grows to be pretty likable throughtout the game. It felt pretty lackluster in general because it was more like a hook to the third and game but it was moderately enjoyable. This should also be less of an issue now that all games are out compared to playing the game on release.
3 is pretty good, it brings closure to most of the characters stories and has some of that atmosphere from the first game without being so stupid. The games also progressively do away with the H-scenes with the first game having a shitton of scenes that don't even make sense, the second one being a bit better in that department and the third one having very few, which in my opinion, are very tastefully done.
tl;dr provided you didn't HATE the first game, reading KnS 2 for a bit and seeing what you think of it wouldn't hurt.

Did we read the same thing? Reiji ends up with Stella of all people at the end of a painfully undercooked romance, Yaginuma goes full retard and listens to Rokushiki because of a sister introduced in the same game, Rokushiki now has mind control powers, and uses them on Fumiya, who's apparently obsessed with Touko now too, the second half is a waste of time meant to loop back around to the end of the first, and Reiji and Masaki don't get a meaningful conclusion regarding their respective daughters. I won't even give you the art being better; it peaked around 2/Caucasus. The already light(and quite frankly beautiful) guro scenes take a major hit too. I agree the amount of H in the previous games was a tad too much, but to go from that to one or two light 15 line R15+ scenes is laughable. The only good conclusion was maybe Uozumi getting together with Kyoko.
It's certainly better than 1, but not by much.

I'd like a VN set in a modern war (anything from WW1 to modern times works).
I'm aware we have a lot of SRPG VNs such as うたわれるもの or RANCE, but these take place in medieval settings. I'm also not looking for something like Muv-Luv either since it's futuristic. (I'm in fact not looking for any RPG elements whatsoever.)

Imagine playing the role of some officer who has cute soldiers on hide side. The VN would have various heroines you can go for, say at the very least 4 of them. Depending on your choices or the routes you go for, some of the heroines and side-heroines happen to die. One of the heroines could be a higher up, and as the story progresses, you raise in rank and get a better picture of the overall conflict and get a chance to impact it further.
A secret heorine could be an enemy: you get taken as a POW and end up joining the other side and betraying all of your comrades in the name of your newfound love.

I could keep on typing but surely you get the idea.
I think it has potential and just thinking about it gets me pretty excited to be honest. Thoughts?

With high quality ingredients and working close with local farmers, McDonalds is a really solid place for the occasional burger.
