There's this thing that scares me to a certain degree and that I still don't understand. I never changed my views on a character and yet I became a Cielfag to the point I'd gladly be her puppy and want to be spoiled by her.
Before I have never changed my views on a character, this remake truly had a great achievement to me. Also Kaede Hondo is much better VA, her MB VA sounded a little too old.
IIRC even Nasu at some point felt to shout "Ciel is my waifu" before regaining sense so they really did some great work.

Even Nasu confirmed so, grouping Hakuno, Shiki and Shirou as self-inserts and Mahoyo as "movie" when you see the events as observer.
