I like more darker and edgier interpretations of Gensokyo, but KKHTA is just so over-the-top that it essentially just relies on pure shock value. With that said I do hope it's final episode gets released sometime, so we can get a proper conclusion to this shitfest.

I like the idea of gensokyo and all of its residents being wiped from existence. I like the idea of all the youkai of gensokyo ceasing to exist. And i like it when the antagonists win. Because such things give you a sense of dread and despair, it makes you think "oh no... gensokyo is gone forever...." isnt that cool? I also really like the concept of the kaiju fights, where gensokyo is put against the entire outside world, and they fight each other. KKHTA has a lot of flaws tho. But i would love to see a rewritten version to fix all of these (and it would most likely create a very different series).

I'm sitting here wondering what kind of diseased mind would conceive of the idea that there is a place for Kaiju and Kaiju battles in an STG series birthed from the very idea of human player characters and likewise-sized opponents. Sounds the furthest from Touhou you could possibly get, or close if not.

I don't think he actually makes any real decisions, at best he might be consulted for parts of the "story" which is honestly about ZUNtier, if he didn't think it through.
If there are any KKHTA references in it, it's the ACTUAL devs who made them.
