She already is, though. That's her whole shtick, she's past, present and future at the same time. A god of beginnings, of riches, and at the same time a dead god, just waiting to become the god of a new world. I wonder how Larva's world would look like.

IN's incident was the missing moon, the never ending night was done by the protagonists to find the moon and restore it during the night, with kaguya dispelling the spell at true end.

I love her design, she's only behind Aun as best girl in Hidden Star. I like that out of all the fairys, she is a more western fantasy one (yes, more them Clownpiece.) To bad she doesn't have much of a niche for dojins.

Tokoyo no Kamifags are as bad as EX Rumia fags.
The "god" was probably just a dumb insect worshipped by some peasants until Hata no Kawakatsu came around and crushed the NEET cult for not paying taxes. The extremely minor deity that spawned from their delusions would've gotten killed and only ended up spawning a fairy because it was a really weak entity that was already close to nature, the resulting fairy ultimately being a new person that just carries some of the Tokoyo god's essence buried deep within her, that only showed itself (and even then only within Larva's back door) because Okina drew out everyone's hidden aspects through her dancers.

Larva really is just a cute fairy with nothing edgy to her, nor is she a threat to anyone, since Okina barely even cares about her.

It's fun enough to speculate, and a likely unfounded & false "maybe" from Okina in the Extra stage is still more than whatever Rumia has, and its at the service of a pretty cool myth, as you've said. I like that it's probably bullshit. You don't hear about these stories as much, arguably for good reason, but the fact they've existed is cool. Besides, the amount of works trying to push the idea of Tokoyo no Kami are so few & far between, it really isn't worth getting uppity about.
It's one of the many things there are to love about Larva. Playful like a fairy, comes with the rich, beautiful aesthetics of a butterfly, and maybe hides something. A ton of ways to go about enjoying her.

But Larva already has something going for her; she's the most adorable of all!
Also, she's clearly the most intelligent of the fairies, and actually making an effort to learn things and growing more powerful as a fairy, which makes her stand out.
>>43731730
Honestly, the biggest issue is that whenever someone does Tokoyo no Kami stuff, it's usually something edgy, trying to make Larva look spooky and some kind of serious threat to Okina, instead of actually playing into the NEET cult bit. Like, the cult was basically promising everyone to live the same simple, easygoing lives that fairies have, where everyone just lives happily without any worries.
It's not threatening in the least, and Hata no Kawakatsu was a bullshit tier legendary figure serving the ruling class, so some upstart cult obviously wouldn't be an actual threat to him, and he was obviously the real villain involved. All the "spooky creature threatening Okina" stuff is just silly.

Sounds suspiciously ambitious for a fairy. Eiki already warned Cirno about growing more powerful and evolving beyond fairyhood. And isn't Star also pretty smart for a fairy? Is Larva bigger brained than her and how significant is the difference?

It's not really all that strange for a fairy to have big ambitions. The Three Fairies of Light wanted to create an incident of their own, for instance, and they're always treated as very typical fairies.
Larva's development also remains very close to fairies' nature. She learned how to manipulate life force directly, but since Fairies *are* pure life force, it's more of an understanding of her own nature rather than anything un-fairylike. Cirno, on the other hand, is a freak of nature that nobody quite understands. Whatever's going on with her, she's clearly becoming less of a fairy as time goes on. It's not really comparable.
And I don't think that Star is really all that smart, so much as that she just has no morals holding her back. She takes advantage of extremely trusting people as easily as she breathes, but it's more of an ingrained talent than anything that requires real thought on her part.

Sounds like a textbook case of psycopathy, and that's correlated with high intelligence. Then again, fairies are manifestations of aspects of nature, so Star representing also some of the ruthlessness and amoral indifference of nature makes sense, and judging her on human criteria may not be the most appropriate. Either way, she's a cute little psycho.
