I do visit almost all the boards on 4chan. Like I said I usually browse /a/ to fill whatever need I have and have tried to replace that with /jp/ during my 5 day ban.

The problem for me is /jp/ offers almost nothing of interest. While /a/ definitely has its faults, at least its threads have meaning. Every thread on /jp/ is just a copypasta or a meaningless regurgitation of a similar topic that doesnt mean anything. /jp/ is the Seinfeld of 4chan, a bunch of threads about nothing.

Every other board has something of interest related to it at any given time. I realize everyones perspective interest is different, but there have literally been 2 threads here in 4 days that I found entertaining and original, and one of them was then reposted consecutively for the next 2 days. It was entertaining the first time, but not the 20th time, and thats why /jp/ is more pathetic than any other board on 4chan.

Conclusion: It's not as bad as I expected (since I'm normally extremely repulsed every time I visit /a/ on a blue moon). Usually there are a ton more /r9k/ and blogging threads whenever I dropped by /a/. Can't say much about the threads having meaning. Nor would I declare it to be considerably better than /jp/.
