Again, I blame DMM. If you visit KMP's website example the cover is higher res than DMM's 800x533. And significantly higher quality. Crystal uploads a small handful of them to their site but their site is ass. WAAP has beeger covers too, but their VR kinda mid. at best. The worst part? Higher res versions of the images they give us clearly exist. SLR has them...but they have 4 per title. And they're a year+ behind on most studios.

You're welcome. That will take all your WMVs in the current directory and any subdirectories and remux them as mkv, without transcoding anything. Both WMV again, it's VC-1 anyways and WMA will play just fine from an MKV container, and although MKVToolnix will bitch at you if you try to do it, ffmpeg will not complain. Make sure you have as much free space as you have WMVs before you do this. I did it to all the aforementioned JULIA .wmv files.

It's just changing the container, intentionally not changing anything else about the file other than the "box" it's in. Because if it's an early 2010s HD WMV from DMM, it's already like 6 Mbps max. If you want to get rid of the ISOs without converting them yet, just use MakeMKV. It's free. Double click on an ISO and Windows will mount it as a fake drive, although I think MakeMKV can look at ISO files too. Open the "disc". It'll identify the main title and ask you to save it as an MKV.

In general, you're not going to want to take already compressed anything, like an MP3, and compress it again. Garbage in, garbage out. So I don't recompress anything unless it's a BD or a DVD. Yes, a Blu-Ray or a DVD is already compressed, but those are often the highest quality sources available to us as concoomers.
