Anon, this board is over 12 years old, there isn't a whole lot to discuss exactly.
People can only make new content so fast.
There was a gameplay thread not that long ago, but it never got past a second thread before people stopped bumping it.
Fundamentally, it is not a mutually exclusive thing to enjoy touhou, but not necessarily play all the games. It helps, but most people are in it for the characters, not the actual gameplay.
