Anyone got some simple but complete source of knowledge on ほど?
I read wildnihongo and it made sense until I found sentences where it doesn't.

For example, if

means 赤ちゃん that is 大きい to the extent of ビックリする (baby so big you're surprised)
then

should mean 体 becomes 弱く to the extent that you 年をとる (becoming so weak that you grow old)
